I live by the beach, just south of San Francisco. I love to go surfing. I am self-employed and work part-time so I can play.
I became interested in healthy food when I was 11. My Mom told me about an article she read that said you feel fantastic if you stop eating sugar for two weeks. I tried that out for a couple years. I also went vegetarian during that time. And I've been experimenting with various ways of eating ever since. I've always found it fascinating that we can affect our consciousness so profoundly by what we eat.
My main interest in life has always been consciousness. Ever since I was a kid it has seemed to me that most people live a very limited life and that they are almost sleep-walking and borderline insane. This was very confusing for me early on, but it inspired me to search for other possibilities.
I feel very lucky to have grown up with an open mind. To have found spiritual books and meditation in my early teens. I've experimented with all kinds of things. I love that spiritual development seems natural because of who and what we are. That it happens by and of itself, regardless of what we think we are or are not doing.
I am grateful to have experienced the essence of what I truly am.

i'm going to try the rejuvelac recipe this week. couple questions: when you say "sprout" the wheatberries, you mean to let them soak for 2 days, right? is it okay if i use a mason jar lid instead of a cheesecloth or does it need to breathe? thanks! :D
do you meditate at home? by yourself or with others? :)
yes, details are forthcoming re the get-together. i may go visit our branch office up in SF on friday to hand-deliver a gift to one of my friends who is actually pregnant (just found out today)...so maybe we'll meet at gratitude in SF, not berkeley? not sure yet... :)
