About Me:: Open-minded, passionate, artistic and happy. In my "former life" I was a gourmet foodie in every sense, but once I became enlightened to raw, I began re-educating and recreating my palate and my overall reality. Raw opened up a new and beautiful world to me. The food was just the catalyst that opened the door to this exciting new journey of learning, growing and healing on many different levels.

2008 has been a magical time for me thus far. In June, I completed a 92 day juice feast, which was a life changing experience. I am currently facilitating raw food education, counseling, coaching and helping to build sense of community for health conscious raw foodists within Tulsa and surrounding areas.

I am guessing everyone around this circle has heard of Juice Feasting by now. I have just a bit of a twinge or a vibe that the folks who don't feel called into this global experience could possibly be getting weary of all of the hubbub, but I suspect it'll all level out. How I Went Raw

I've been on the road toward seeking health and balance within my body for a long time. My health challenges started early. It was around the age of 8 that I began suffering from persistent, unexplainable intestinal problems. I would often miss the school bus because I was struggling with severe cramps, pain and diarrhea. These ongoing "stomach problems" created tremendous stress for me on many levels. The doctors performed lots of tests, but there was never a diagnosis.

Somehow, through the connected "nature" of the internet, while surfing for various raw foods info and sites, I ran across your Real Food Tulsa blog. We always seem to run into each other anyway. I immediately printed out your Pineapple-Jalapeno Slaw recipe and I am jonesing to try it tommorow! I am a bit of a slaw fanatic. Plus, over the last few weeks, our local Organic Farm CSA (we get it every year and it lasts from May through Oct) has been sending us great cabbage and Napa cabbage. I guess I am your newest blog reader!
