-Incorporating raw plant based nutrition into a high-ish raw/omnivorous/non vegetarian diet. Besides "social" eating (where I eat/drink whatever goes within reason) I mainly eat raw plant based foods, cooked animal foods and less and less and less refined processed non-food starches.
So I suppose you could say I'm a SAD eater with a large portion of foods from raw and other nutritional backgrounds.
I respect vegans and vegetarians, especially as the majority of what I am learning is in that form. I have zero desire to promote animal consumption. I'm just open about what I eat. It would be just uncool to pretend I was veg-anything for the sake of it.
-I don't like to consider myself as "in transition" as the term kinda lends itself to there being one perfect nutrtion system or goal. As much as I like such a notion, I like to hedge my bets so to speak with old (e.g. Dr Bernard Jensen) and new information (e.g. The Raw Movement).
P.S. The profile photo/pic is just a cool pic off the net I change every now and again.
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
Just keep on keeping on.
A realisation that the maistream like me will be getting into Raw more and more and that it wont always be in a total, classic "raw foodist" way.
Sometimes I am fully raw vegan for a week without even planning it, others I'm a commercial cooked take away moron, others I am my own version of an ok balance, but overall me and my families health and wellbeing has been greatly benefitted by the "raw food movement".
Thankyou.

This is a vid someone on Youtube made by putting together music by Boards of Canada with footage from the 1970 film Zabriskie Point by Michelangelo Antonioni. I haven't seen the film, but the desert landscape is just so beautiful. There is a tiny bit of mild nudity, but I hope, and I'm sure it wont offend.

I know exactly how you feel. I flip flop between loving fashion and design for their artistic merits to thinking they are such unnecessary wastes of resources and wanting to live as minimalistically (is that a word?) as possible. I have started trying only shopping for clothes as resale stores. That way, I feel like I am doing some sort of recycling and at the same time, I get unique pieces that have a cool history (or at least they do in my mind!).
Where do you live? You mentioned something about raising siblings? That's really cool of you- how old are they?
When I read it, I didn't have a TV nor go to movies (nor a computer nor washing machine nor refrigerator...). I prefer learning things hands on now. I'm kind of an alien from outer space, or everyone else is as far as eating, it's rare for me to be in contact with people who eat similar to me. It's nice that everyone is raw here. I like being different too. I didn't always, but it's a good thing I grew to like it because I am a little different. It's a little funny sometimes, I give little bits of info and people say it's wonderful. I give big bits and they're mostly dumbfounded and wait a few days untill they can read up. People are unfamiliar and even scared of raw, and haven't even tried it. I was the same way. Not about raw veges, but raw eggs and raw meat, I was really scared of it, but that's emotions based on misinformation. I knew logically it will give me what I really need so I did it for the love of Riley (I mean love of my family, of my friends and of myself). Nice comment, thank you so much. Have a beautiful night. :)
So much of your posts and profile remind me of me, except a few things including gender, age and consideration to B12, but believe me, the rest does a lot.
