About Me:: Hey, I'm a 20 year old raw foodie! I love to watch old movies, watch funny videos on YouTube, read a good book, play board games, randomly surf the Net, walk everywhere, and shop for things I don't need. I hate winter and the cold and dream of living someplace where it's warm and sunny year-round. I'm also rather obsessed with pink, glitter, yarn... and fluffy pom poms. POM POMS!!!

Relationship Status:: Single

Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?: Berries, fresh peaches, fresh peas, raw olives, longan fruit, pomegrantes, plump figs, raw pineapple juice, green and berry smoothies, raw concord grape juice!

Interests (outside of Raw Food):: Working out and learning yoga, knitting, sewing, watching old (or new) movies, reading, walking, summertime, unicorns, rainbows and fluffy bunnies, astrology/numerology for fun, music, shopping!

Favorite Books or Authors:: Harry Potter, Anne of Green Gables, Watership Down, Twilight... care to suggest any?

So I was at the grocery store with my mom, and on the way to the checkout she asked me to grab her two boxes of Special K chocolate chip cereal bars. I complied and glanced at the ingredient list as I gave them to her. "Why don't you just make your own granola bars?" I asked her. "Look at the ingredients in this, it's not real food. First green smoothie...

Bit the bullet and made my first green smoothie today. The addition of spinach scared me, but it was fine! I made it very simply, frozen fruit, a banana and two big handfuls of spinach in some water. The green colour was actually amusing, it made it taste better in my mind since I liked the colour. Psychology!

I think I'll make it a daily thing :) The frozen fruit is a bit pricey though, since it's organic. I read that conventional frozen fruit is pasturized/irradiated before being froz… Continue
