Interests (outside of Raw Food):
My passions are being with my child, creating and appreciating beauty, feminism ( thats a big one), being concious of how my choices affect the world around me, health, observation of people and world events. I love conversations that go long into the night. I like to analyze things down to a ridiculous level, that sort of thing makes me giddy. I write a lot, it helps me organize my internal process.
I love high-fashion ( You will never catch me reading Cosmo, for many different reasons!), art, social commentary, decorating, breathing new life into old things. reading at least 4 books at all times, preferably while lying in the bathtub with some kind of beauty experiment slathered on my face. Im also a beauty and footwear junkie, it's my cross to bear....
Favorite Books or Authors:
The Beauty Myth, Full-Frontal Feminism, BITCHfest, Second Sex, Silent Spring, Eating for Beauty, The Feminine Mystique, Mama Zen, and of course, Dr. Suess
Favorite Quote:
"If one woman told the truth about her life, the whole world would burst open"

ahhh its ok, it'd be cool if you did that though.
If we did a shot of wheatgrass everytime they lied, we'd have to drink wheatgrass straight for 90 minutes or however long the thing is.... I'll have to pre-plan that event and grow about 30 flats.... : ) We'll be the only thing that comes out of it healthy, maybe we can share some with Iraqi's and the economy...

How are you doing? I don't know if you are using honey, but I found this about it:

Honey is effective in the treatment of post-surgical wounds
Vardi, A.; Barzilay, Z.; Linder, N.; Cohen, H. A.; Paret, G., and Barzilai, A. "Local application of honey for treatment of neonatal postoperative wound infection." Acta Paediatr. 1998 Apr; 87(4):429-32 Show-Hide Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the efficacy of honey as a treatment of neonatal post-operative wound infection. Nine infants with large, open infected wounds that had failed to heal with conventional intravenous antibiotic treatment (and cleaning the wound with chlorhexidine 0.05% W/V in aqueous solution and fusidic acid ointment) were treated with 5-10 ml of commercial, unprocessed , non-pasteurized and non-irradiated honey. The dressing was changed twice daily and the appearance of the wound and surrounding tissues were recorded. All infants showed marked clinical improvement after 5 d of treatment and the wounds were closed, clean and sterile in all infants after 21 d of honey application. There were no adverse reactions to the treatment. The authors concluded that honey could be useful in the treatment of post-surgical wounds that are infected and do not respond to conventional systemic and local antibiotic treatment.

Be well.
