Unfortunately, although Doug comes up with some great idea's, he is not a nutritionist, and hence has neglected some crucial aspects of modern discoveries. Confusingly his wife is, and I dont know how she managed to neglect such crucial details in the planning of the book.
All of his recipes, whilst meeting the 811 guidelines, neglect to consider micronutrient levels. I think this is in part, due to the fact that he uses nutridiary.com, which doesnt really offer much in the way of micronutrient evaluation, focusing mainly on macronutrients such as protein fat and carbs.
As I have said previously, the concept of 811 is great, its just that his version of how people should apply it have led many people to experience similar unfortunate symptoms as you have. Im actually thinking I may contact Doug and his wife and inform them of these findings.
I will be happy to help you plan a diet that works for you. I will write to you tomorrow (its late now, I need to be up in the morning, I just came on to check my mail).
So let me get this straight, you get up, drink a glass of water, then take care of things, go for a run, and then you go for a run. After your run, how quickly (if at all) do you wait before drinking some water and then having your breakfast? Please assume that every question I ask you from now on is as important as any other question, and that answer as specifically as possible.
You're welcome Lucky, I will work on a response after Ive analysed your diet, now. Meantime, could you please tell me if you exercise before or after breakfast, and how long you wait after exercising before drinking water/eating, if you do?
Take care
Hi Lucky...saw your post ref 80 10 10! I think you are already aware of the answer to your questions...do whats right for you not what works for someone else. Emotional happiness is far more important than what you eat!
