But please, don't leave mean comments -- I don't think I could handle that :-)
Wow, 18 years! That's long. I've been in the States for almost 4 years now, haven't been back yet either (though planning this summer).
I am from Northern Caucasus (Северный Кавказ), and you?
yeah, this winter is a bit too cold (I am in Chicago, the snowfall has been unbelievable this year!), and I've just got to the whole raw thing. I started out by fasting for detox, and have had some pretty miserable days -- when crawling from under my blanket has been inconceivably hard. :-)
Your kid is so cute.
Your name is Russian, right?
I am Korean Russian.
Would be glad to share being raw with former compatriot.
:-)
Too bad you're in Canada.

I started a group called Raw Women. I hope you'll join. Have a great day!

When my wife was pregnant with our first child (she is currently nursing our fourth) we were totally raw, but during the pregnancy, my wife craved eggs so she ate them.
I worked in a raw food restaurant in NYC, named Ozone, (which has since closed), so we were very mindful of what we ate but the protein in an egg is hard to beat.
In our current diet we eat raw dairy, meat and eggs. Our kids are never sick.
If you are having difficulty with allergies to nuts and soy (I wouldn't recommend eating soy anyway) and since you are breastfeeding, I would consider eating raw eggs to supplement your protein intake.
Other than the Carol Adams' issue of "feminised protein", an organic, free range, unfertilized chicken egg shouldn't present any ethical issues.
Just a thought.

PS Are you currently breastfeeding exclusively?
(Just wondering because we "bird feed" our 11 month old whatever we are eating mouth to mouth, in addition to full time breastfeeding i.e. co-sleeping with baby and feeding on demand 24/7.)
