Profile Information

About Me:
I love food raw and many other raw environmental factors, across the board. I am practicing my own modified version of the "Primal Diet" otherwise called PD (yes Buddha Baby, you recognized it). I really like the way the PD works when I follow it fully, but I live in a state where the foods are't legal for human consumption, so it's not always easy for me to get the foods nor transport them.
INFP - "Questor". High capacity for caring. Emotional face to the world. High sense of honor derived from internal values. 4.4% of total population.

"Pesticides used in sheep dips have consistently been linked with damage to the nervous system in workers that have been exposed to them in the United Kingdom. Even low-dose exposure over the long term has been conclusively linked with reduced nerve fiber function, anxiety, and depression. Long-term exposure to sheep dip has also been linked to reduced bone formation. In addition, residues of diflubenzuron, an insecticide used in sheep dips, persist in the environment for more than a year." Sheep, gentle creatures, weigh about 150 pounds on average. So do you think a 'sheep dip' that damages a human nervous system might affect the sheep?"

SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT IN FAVOR OF GRADE A RAW MILK
EXPERT REPORT AND RECCOMENDATION

BY DR. WILLIAM CAMPBELL DOUGLASS JR., M.D.
Aajonus Vonderplanitz, Scientific Nutritional Researcher

Dr. Douglass Credentials:

I am a fourth generation physician whose family has practiced medicine in the Southern United States since 1850, a graduate of the University of Rochester; the University of Miami School of Medicine; and the United States Naval School of Aviation and Space Medicine. I have taken postgraduate courses at Oxford, Princeton, Harvard, and the Universities of California, Florida, and Pennsylvania. I researched extensively on raw milk and pasteurized milk, and wrote the published book The Milk Book of two editions and several printings.

1) HEALTH RISKS FROM DRINKING PASTEURIZED MILK

a. BACTERIAL RISKS FROM DRINKING PASTEURIZED MILK

In 1945 there were 450 cases of infectious disease attributed to raw milk. There were 1,492 cases attributed to pasteurized milk.1 There was 1 case of disease for every 12,400,000 quarts of pasteurized milk consumed, and 1 case of disease for every 18,900,000 quarts of raw milk consumed.2 In other words, a person could drink 6,500,000 more quarts of raw milk than pasteurized without getting sick.

... then, associated with a food. Food-contamination is often not the problem because the bacterial activity originates in the body to help the body decompose the pasteurized milk or heat-treated food.

Studies have shown cholesterol oxidation products to cause atherosclerosis and cancer. Pasteurized milk contains cholesterol oxides and epoxides. Raw milk has none of these.

Phosphatase is essential for the absorption of calcium and is plentifully present in raw milk but completely destroyed by pasteurization. The "decalcification" of pasteurized and formula milks which are fed to ...

Interview with Aajonus Vonderplanitz

Aajonus Vonderplanitz, who is considered by many to be the world’s leading nutritional authority, has created the following paradigm from which I quote with his permission, including quotes from his book, We Want to Live

“Why does live food heal?”

“At birth we have a given supply of nutrients in our bodies to facilitate all bodily functions.

Enzymes, vitamins, minerals, sugars, fats and protein are some of the known nutrients. As we grow, we require increasingly more of all nutrients. Enzymes are catalysts for every metabolic process. Raw foods contain myriads of live enzymes and have plentiful supplies of vitamins and other nutrients. Eating raw foods ensures optimal digestion, optimal functioning and replaces nutrients promoting excellent health.

“How do cooked and processed foods create disease?”

“I have found that … sickness is rooted in malnutrition. This includes allergy-related conditions and genetic diseases. Malnutrition comes from a person not getting the nutrients or combination of balance of nutrients that his or her body needs. Cooking and processing foods destroy nutrition by altering their shape, size and chemistry. This causes biochemical confusion and toxicity in the body, including the accumulation of harmful substances, residues and debris.

Eating cooked and processed foods forces the body to leach enzymes from its own supply to digest, assimilate and utilize whatever is eaten, breathed and absorbed. Enzymes are not only the only nutrients that are leached. Our bodies leach cells, vitamins, minerals, protein and hormones from its own constitution, gradually weakening them. Leaching increases work that the body and enzymes must do. Gradually inert and volatile toxins accumulate. Cells weaken. Cellular function declines, causing bodily deterioration and disease. We call this aging.”

“Why are some people healthy even though they eat cooked and processed foods?”

The body as a whole and on a cellular level always strives towards good health. The changes in

Drugs Not Hugs

No_heart Having witnessed first-hand a glimpse of the seemingly infinite supply of hugs being provided by Amma, the hugging saint, when she was in the DC area. And having been moved and inspired by the Free Hugs Campaign video, I was saddened to see a recent article in the Washington Post Express' EyeOpeneners section entitled "Somewhere, a Care Bear Just Died" about a middle school in Illinois where hugging has been banned. Apparently the principal, Victoria Sharts, feels that the hugging is excessive and has been causing tardiness and hallway traffic jams. Sharts was quoted as saying, "Hugging is really more appropriate for airports or for family reunions than passing and seeing each other every few minutes in the halls." If that were the case, most people would receive just a handful of hugs per year, at most. :(

Not only are hugs nice, research has shown time and again the importance of human touch on the mind and body. For example, in an experiment by psychologist James Coan of the University of Virginia, in collaboration with Dr. Hillary Schaefer and Dr. Richard J. Davidson of the University of Wisconsin, married women were subjected to a stress-inducing activity. Those who received a comforting touch from their husbands experienced a immediate and significant reduction of activity in the area of their brains that becomes active during fear, danger, and threat. While not as strong as that from their spouses, comforting touch from a stranger also had measurably positive effects.

Also, ongoing research by Tiffany Field, PhD, of the University of Miami School of Medicine, has shown that massage is effective in reducing stress, depression, anxiety, pain and in boosting the immune system. And a 2004 study by Christopher Moyer, James Rounds, and James Hannum at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign found that having multiple therapeutic massage treatments over time reduced depression and anxiety at rates equivalent to those produced by traditional psychotherapy.

Scientific studies aside, adolescence is a developmental stage where feeling connected and cultivating intimate relationships is crucial. So, while I understand her need to maintain order in her school, I think that Sharts edict is misguided. Perhaps she just needs a hug.

Not yet. Working on it though! I'm finding myself slipping, but once I quit this job, hopefully it will be better. Meanwhile, I'll have to continue to adapt, lol

i have to admit sometimes there is a thought in the back of my head...that maybe we don't need special diets or even greens... that what if we just had more physical connection/love/intimacy with people more. what if we had that on a daily basis... what do you think about that? i think back to a time a few years ago where everyday i did heart-meditations... i also was physical all day long (so in a sense i was in my heart, heart beating), i also went to sleep soon after the sun. i was hyper in-tune with the earth/sun and its cycles. i felt like i was in heaven at times. i felt almost "perfect" all the time. like i was seriously operating at this higher frequency. except the frequency i was operating on felt COMPLETELY sane and normal. like it was exactly how a human -should- feel.

so sometimes i catch myself wondering if i should go back to that. the only other thing i was doing was eating fish everyday. i think i was trying that out.

but i felt very heart-centered. i felt very empathetic with the dogs around me. at times i would feel blissed out and and just feel like i was in total communication with god...

it was like illegal it was so good. yet i was using zero drugs. i didn't even eat a ton of food or anything, or even concentrate on food at all. the key was physical activity during the day, and resting with the cycle of the sun. i have read studies and books talking about the circadian cycles... how they actually control our hormones.

so i wonder if the very fact that i'm not sleeping with the sun etc etc, am i completely sabotaging myself of supreme health. will i always feel like i am searching for something better. because i know when i was sleeping like that, i KNEW it was the answer. i knew firmly it was all i ever wanted.

it seems the cycles of light and dark kept us in tune with not only the earth..but the entire connecting universe. because the sun is connected to everything else somehow... and we used to live in tune with these cycles.

but then i think, "gosh..am i thinking too much"?

maybe i should go get my own place and start sleeping in sync with the sun again.
