- About Me:
- Most published punk photographer from LA, 1976-1980, which keeps me busy. But my heart is in raw foods. Lost and kept off over 55 pounds for over 7 years due to raw foods! But I still eat cooked, drink, not enough exercise. Being around others into what I'm into will help me stay on track. Plus I LOVE to share info!
- How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
- It's really hard for me to find groups and topics according to subject. I wish there were an Index, so we could find threads and groups per topic.
This community is SUPER! I know A LOT of peeps, from my punk photos, from teaching, from art, from just living long enough. But in this community, I've found humor, compassion, fascinating topics/discussions and wonderful new friends (and a few who don't like what I have to say).
I could spend ALL my time reading and posting. "You're getting to be a habit of mine, can't break it" (that's from an old 1930's song from a Warner Bros Busby Berkeley-directed musical).

Ok, so who doesn't love music? But when I'm listening to the Clash, or Bernadette Peters or who the hell cares what, and I get a friend request, and I click to that person, I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR YOUR MUSIC OVER MY MUSIC, both coming out of my computer speakers. Drives me outta my mind.
I promise not to bombard you with Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim and the Germs (other than written quotes) if you promise not to add me and subject me to your music. If that sounds awful, then don't add me. Don't write to me, don't bother me.
If I want to know what you listen to, GIVE ME THE CHOICE of hearing it. I actually do hate some music. You really wanna hear "Fiddler on the Roof," and I don't mean Gwen Stefani's take on if she were a rich girl? Oy vey, what a travesty. I hate her, but I love that musical. "Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match" with peeps who won't bombard me with their music. URGH! I respect your tastes, now respect mine re music. Thanks! Namaste and all that jazz.

I've been laying super low hermit style the past few months so I have not gone to raw events either. Maybe we can try? I'd certainly love to meet you.
Aw, I used to be so jealous of those of you being there for it all back in the day. When I worked in NYC for a designer his company used to use this one car service that seemed to hire a lot of 50-60 yr old white rock guys. I used to GRILL them on their experiences about going to The Electric Circus or Fillmore East and The Mudd Club and Max's KC. And too on the scene out here. Just a few yrs ago I dated Michael Belfer of Sleeper and Tuxedo Moon.. You remember him? Sweet guy. Super talented.
I understand your're superbusy, but lemme know if'n you wanna have tea or go to some raw thing. CHEERS!
I saw your post on the coffee post and really related. Now it's time for me to kick my tea addiction. Not easy though, being English!

I was getting SO MUCH SHIT from other Ning groups that I changed my default email. It's valid, but I NEVER check it. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want to be bombarded by invites to other Ning groups.
But it's not hard to figure out my email addy. What's my name? Or go to www.jennylens.com and click on contact info. I'd love to hear from fellow raw foodies, but not the whole world inviting me to this group or that.
