Raw cyclist, runner, weight trainer, and yoga practitioner, but of course there is more to me than that... Hmm, none of those are me, just things I do...

Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
Localy grown organic blueberries when they are in season, fresh picked ripe figs, melons of all varieties, beautiful life giving greens of all sorts, grapefruits, peaches, it's so hard to pick favorites
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
Competing in sporting events, reading books, photography, hikes, bikes, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoe running, studying nature and learning all that I can from her, being an active member of Organic Athlete, expressing myself creatively, personal training, studying exercise and nutrition, writing, finding new things to learn about that interest me, astronomy, drawing, exploring and discovering wonderful landscapes in my own backyard, learning about all of the places that I would like to travel to in the future, thought provoking films and documentaries, the music on my ipod, I have to say Raw Food because it is one of my main passions in life, meeting like-minded people and having great conversation with them, personally picking the food that I'm going to eat either wild or at a farm, shopping at farmers markets in the summer, Okanagan roadside fruit stands, giving raw food to others as gifts, sleeping under the stars on summer nights, running on the beach, discovering new raw fruits that I have never tried before, helping others become fit and healthy through diet and exercise, growing plants (especially ones that I can eat), watching the seasons change, watching the sun rise and set on the same day, meditation and relaxation techniques, taking pictures of wildlife scenery and sunsets...I could go on, life is just so interesting, I don't understand how anyone can ever let themselves become bored.

Hi RawKev. Hope you had a great holiday.
I wanted to ask you about your knee. I know you are like half my age and heal a lot faster than I do. I went to one doctor..going for a second opinion...but he said my knees were shot just from age and that I might have a torn meniscus. He thinks both of my legs should be hurting but it is just one. I'm going to switch to some walking and biking...but what I wanted to ask was..how long did it take for your knee to heal? I'm not doing much with it right now. I definitely need another activity right now. What did you do? Cycling? Swimming? Would love to hear your input.
Ooh, that book is so heavy (in thought). It influenced my thought a lot, I have never forgotten the ideas in it. Have you read A Language Older Than Words? I thought it was going to be about linguistics, lol! It ended up influencing me more than any other book I have read, took a lot of stress off my shoulders--like "Ohhh, no wonder I feel insane! It's not me!" But they're all good, he repeats ideas a lot.
hi there..i've been to Canada...from the East to the West..its great there...i loved Vancouver...they are very earth conscious....i admire your tenacity and drive to be healthy and fit!!
Hey Kev. Well I'm a transformed geek, so I started off by running the San Francisco Marathon this past summer, and then competed in a 3mi open-swim competition (I hate chlorine but LOVE swimming), along with a swim-run biathlon. As far as team sports, I've taken a liking to rugby which I just played (touch) for the first time last Thursday, with a local team in the East Village (NYC).
...I'm not on any college teams. I do love ultimate frisbee as well, and soccer. I prefer full-body (use) sports
Regarding OrganicAthlete, I was stoked when I found the page, and then realized how few people used the forums? Also, the internships they offer are not physically active, but office jobs. I also don't like that you have to pay $15 to use the forums/chapters...
However, this site has me totally excited: http://www.runningraw.com
Yes, Farmer Ed is some sort of horticultural wizard. He has a way with words and plants... unconventional maybe, but his fruit tastes as unbelievable as his tales sound.
