Hi! You live in Hawaii! I plan on attending UHM for grad. school! I have never been, but I love the lifestyle and aloha spirit everyone from the islands encompass. I feel like I was born to live there, lol how do you like it? Is it easy to be raw there? I realize that many of the good prices are more expensive, is this true with produce? Are there any good farmers markets? Take care! XOXO
Hi Jenna- Pangaia sounds wonderful. Enjoy your stay on the Big Island. I have a farm there and we love the time we spend on the Island. The fresh produce is incredible there, all grown in such rich volcanic soil. Over on Oahu I wish I could say we have at least one raw food restaurant, but I am still dreaming of the day. When I am in town (honolulu) I will either grab a salad from Down to Earth, they have a nice little vegan/organic salad bar in the back of the store. Or I will grab a smoothie or juice from da cove health bar. It's a great place to grab a coconut too. The only place on the island that I have found that will serve young coconuts. Have a wonderful trip. Aloha!
Oh...I'm coming to Hawaii on Friday. I'll be staying in Pangaia, a sustainable, raw food community on the big island, for several days. I'll be on Oahu this weekend. Any good place to eat? It'll be my first time visiting Hawaii. Can't wait!
and these people are looking for someone to start a meet up in the honolulu area:

i am sure that one can even start a meetup type gathering of people through give it to me raw as a "group".
soooo, you can gather if you like :)
i plan on starting one in the pahoa area when i get there. there is already a nice size group of raw lights in the area we are moving into so this is lovely!
Hello again! Hmm, green smoothies, let's see. One of my favorites is 2 frozen bananas, pineapple, almond milk, spinach (spinach is by far my favorite green for smoothies). I also like the combo of strawberries and kiwi - yum. :)
