About Me:
I've always been very interested in nutrition, searching what would be the ideal human food. I've been eating mostly organic, very little meat and tried to cut out the dairies for the past ten years. I''ve thought for years that raw was the best food as it is so logical but I never really tried it until a few month ago. Since the beginning of the year I've been raw ten days, then back to cooked, then back to raw etc. while reading more and more stuff about it and getting more convinced every day that this is what I want but also more confused as there are so many different theories even in the raw food community. Now I'm really raw and I just simply know I'm not going back. I've talked my dad into doing it which is reaaaally cool and he's doing great. There is very little information on the subject in french (we don't even have a raw restaurant in France !) which is why I come here and hope to find support, ideas, testimonies and more ...
What type of friends are you looking to make here?
Raw friends of course, as I don't seem to meet many of them in my neighborhood. ;) And more generally speaking : open-minded, inspired and inspiring people.

First post, beginning of my raw journey (day14)

Hi there, this is my first post, I believe there will be many more following even though I don’t know if anybody will be interested in reading them. I’d like to say I’m very glad I have found this “give it to me raw” group, it seems full of nice people and it really feels good to see I’m not alone on that raw path and not that strange after all.

Salut, Marine!

Agree with Amazonfly... more french raw here, what good news! Carcassonne I visited many years ago - and who can forget such a village? We work our best here in norway to create a new ecovillage for spiritually and social concious souls.. like the city of Carcassonne historically... Keep your strong light shining!

Hello Marine,

Good to meet a french. Our community is so little in France.
I m not fully raw, i m aiming it. But i want to go step by step without forcing me. I m mostly vegan, but i can still eat some meat sometimes. But i m eating mainly vegan and raw as much as i can.
There is a restaurant called pousse pousse in Paris, they do some raw food.

I agree, It seemed that as soon as I made a proper commitment to raw I simply lost interest in a lot of the foods I used to eat, and the more I get used to simply natural flavours, the more it is that they are all I need to satisfy my taste buds. I found that visualising what the food would look like once it got to my stomach was a great way of putting myself off buying anything processed! I must admit that I do occasionally have a little cheese, but only if it's 'raw' (i.e. unpasteurised) and usually only from goat's or sheep's milk. That limits the choice available but that's probably a good thing!

Fantastic, and please feel free to ask any questions or concerns that come up while either reading the book or experimenting with the program.

I would encourage you to approach it with a sense of curiosity and wide-eyed wonderment, much like a child. Have fun with it and listen to the feedback that your system is giving you in every present moment.

High Fives,

Robby

Welcome! It must be difficult giving up dairy in a country that produces so many great cheeses! They are one of the things I found it hardest to give up...
