Hi Ian,
Sorry to hear about your diabetes. It must have been quite a shock to get it at your age but it seems, as in my case, it's possible to control it with this raw diet. I also have a friend here in the UK who has also got his under control with a vegetarian cooked/high raw diet.

I try to eat an equal quantity of sweet fruits, fats, green leaves in accordance with David Wolfes Sunfood diet. Some days I would eat too much sweet and not enough fat or not enough greens and too much fat etc. but now I'm finally getting the proportions down and it's becoming a lot easier.

A couple of times a week l test for sugar and it's always normal and I haven't taken my medication (Metformin) for 6 months. So that's my story. What about yourself, are you on medication, how long have you been raw?

I'd like to hear more about how you have been controlling your blood sugar eating raw. Are you heavy on the leafy greens, ect? I was diagnosed with type 2 last week. I am only 26 years old, so it's kinda scary.
