About Me:
What a Summer! I hope everyone else's has been equally amazing...

And now for Autumn! My FAVORITE season of all... Hurray!

I've been raw more than 25 years...more than 28 actually, now that I stopped and counted. I live deeply by instinct...or Spirit... in eating and everything else.
What type of friends are you looking to make here?
Only the very best, lifelong ones...

Another favorite quote:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Relationship Status:

Favorite Raw Food or Dish:
Durian, figs, avocado and a myriad of wild berries...
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
Anything wholesome and fun in a beautiful, inspiring setting. Never in cities...

Borrowed from a beautiful new friend here, but so me:

"This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness" -- Unknown

Though I would add : "...the temple of our physical body" is important as well."

Since I am here only to make genuine friends...feel free to...

A favorite book. It can also be a great encouragement to those who are stepping out in raw...all alone:
Hinds Feet on High Places is the story of a young woman named Much-Afraid, and her journey away from her Fearing family and into the High Places of the Shepherd, guided by her two companions Sorrow and Suffering. It is an allegory of a Christian devotional life. The book takes its title from Habakkuk 3:19, "The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places."

The author of Hinds Feet on High Places Hannah Hurnand died on Marco Island, Fla., in 1990 refusing conventional treatment for her cancer. Before her death, her home had been open every Monday evening for those who came to hear her share her form of strict vegetarianism, reincarnation and New Age thought.

Her biographer stated, “In fact, in the later years of her life, Hannah herself ceased to attend church. Her lifelong conviction that God would speak to her personally, giving her deeper and deeper insights and ‘light’ that was to be widely shared with others, led her to believe that there could be no spiritual authority over her or her speaking and writing except the Lord Jesus Christ himself”

"Out of the mouth of babes..." savoring the honesty of a child:

Lovely...found on someone else's profile:

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight.
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them...anyway.

(Poem found in Mother Theresa's room)

I still state that any of my photos and writings posted here are for private viewing only by my friends, and are not for reprinting or use for any other purpose.

And actually this is a private site, by permission/membership only...so everything here isn't public fodder, or free to anyone who wants to take and use it for their books, etc.

I'm not here to "network", market things, sell books, be a guru, speaker/entrepreneur...add a bunch of photos to my friends box *wink* or even swap recipes, though it was fun to see others doing so for the few weeks I've been new here. I'm not sure I'll be on here much after several weeks of enjoying it on an almost daily basis... But those who want to be genuine friends, can contact me through my Myspace profile listed at bottom left.

I originally thought this website was created as a social venue only.

And I'm only interested in making some very interesting and very real, new friends here... who just happen to eat raw. I love making and visiting friends around the globe and having them come to visit me. Though I only do this in beautiful country settings now, never cities.

Ok, but to be honest...the sweet marketers (pun intended ie. Chocolate Girl, Phillip, Drew, etc.) on here are softening me in this, and I find myself not of my own volition jumping on the promotional bandwagon...at least for charity.

I'll fill you in more soon!

I seek only new friends who have truly interesting, wholesome and balanced lives...with plenty of free time and genuine hearts to want to stay in touch regularly... And who live with complete integrity...

The frantic busy-ness of life that so many seem to live and the chasing after and promoting of "superfoods" does not make sense to me, so I cannot be a part of that.

If you are a promoter of such things...whether products, programs, theories, etc....and want to be my friend...please know that I am very happy for you if you are happy with what you are doing. But please respect my sensitivity in this and do not mention those products, programs, formulas, etc. to me. It's pretty well known that I don't believe in gurus, products or complications of any kind. Just simplicity. Just raw food....and wonderful life!

And in return, now that I think I've vented most of my pet peeves in the forums...I won't bother you repeating them when we talk or get together. *grin* Unless YOU raise the subject! Deal?

There are so many more pleasant things we can share and do together as friends. Real food merely fuels and releases that, so no need to talk it to death.

I just want to have fun with friends, in real life as much as possible...sharing and building real and beautiful lives together through the years. Again, thought not chasing after promoted "foods" and attending seminars. After 28 years raw, there really isn't anymore to learn about it...except needless complication, that really only lures and tempts you away from the truth.

I've deleted most of my personal photos and postings here because of discussions in a couple forum postings of even authors here stating clearly that they do not think plagiarism is a big deal. I can only post unclear and half photos now unless Dhru issues a statement protecting us from this on his private, member only site (Which would mean everyone would have to agree to this in our rules, as a basis of membership).

Sadly, I now understand why many post no photos at all. I don't even feel comfortable sharing in writing about my knowledge of living raw on here any longer because of this. I don't want my writings and 25 plus years (actually 28 now, I stopped and counted the other day) of experience living this way disrespected and possibly exploited by people who have only lived it a few years at most, who seem most focussed on making a living off these simple truths rather than simply sharing the truths as friends...

Those who want to be real friends can feel free to contact and stay in touch with me through my personal Myspace, email/IM accounts, by phone, and in person where I can share more freely.

For more details on my concerns, see the forum topics on the subject or friends can read my blog posting on:

Ethics and Integrity in the Raw World.

Also, to my friends: If you post a comment on my page and I later delete it, please know that I do so only because they are viewable to the public and I may not want that, depending on what you share. Or if you posted many, I may simply delete some after reading them to allow more friends comments to show on my front page. I enjoy seeing them. *smile*

Stretching the truth...?

Southeast Washington. But it really is its own little microcosm . . . Yeah, Pioneer Park is pretty cool. Lot of memories there. Kinda old town. Once going to be the state capitol . . .

Hi Stephanie,
I love your bunny in the photo!

Are you near JMU in Virginia? I saw the Shenandoah listing. My sister went to JMU, and I have friends in C'ville. Haven't been there in years, but it sure was pretty then!

Thanks for connecting here.
