hey...my name's Dan, from planet Vegan, and I haven't eaten a meatball subway sandwhich in 8 months, 12 days and--lemme think--17 hours now lol...
...i was a Television Child indeed. I had fast food all week, all through childhood and into my teens, infamously labelled the "Burger Boy". I drank two litres of coke a day, smoked 20 a day...The closest thing i had to a pet growing up was a battery-operated fish that would clink against its plastic bowl (it was cute). And now I'm transitioning to sunfoods! The level of transformation on all levels of my life is rapid and phenomenal. I'm an anomaly in my family and social group, and so I want to know more (ANY!) vegans and sunfooders. I'm talkin' 'bout the people who get excited about wheatgrass and colonics!
Places like this are oasis's (plural?) in the desert.
Quick bio: i study visual media arts in kent, near london, but have lost 90% of my interest in that. Since the aforementioned massive transformation i've been guided by my instinct to follow my REAL passion of music and writing. Life has so much to offer, and I want it all! I want to be awestruck like the new-born child, touching faces and smelling and seeing the moon, laughing, feeling that infinite love...it's all to come!

Aaaaaaaaah our bon jovi love existed at the same time!!!!!! Although you're clearly cooler as I only got into bon jovi aged ten. Same album though. Ahhhh god i WISH I'd seen axl on stage in his boxers (not that I have or would ever have found him attractive - just remember he used to perform on stage in his pants lol) back in the day with slash. Amazing.
You know, thats totally cool doing what you can - some people do it overnight (I had to and am lucky enough I could - although initially kitting myself did cost a lot) its the only way I could've done it. Now I can relax a bit and actually this last weekend slash week i relaxed A LOT and now I am feeling it. your body becomes way more sensitive for sure. And my sense of smell is really acute now.
Ahhhhh yes, I've met the narcissistic musical type before ;o) So you're moving from film over to music? Cool. I always fancied myself as a tv presenter actually. Music's cooler by far anyway. I LOVE the way it transends into your soul differently from person to person. Some people pick up on a part of a melody, a harmony, a riff (is that what they call it? the cool guitar solos anyway richie or slash-esq) or the lyrics. Not one song affects someone in the same way. GnR Don't Cry (alt lyrics) got me through an angsty period aged about 15 (and three quarters adrian mole) and even now when I hear it i'm torn somewhere between a real saddness and a sense of contented accomplishment. Wicked.
I just bought some spanish music (I heart amazon/play/google) to try and extend that feeling to another place. Alejandro Sanz. I'm liking it so far: moderny poppy ballady soppyiy goodness. :o)
So are you originally a liverpudlian then? OF COURSE theres a cool musical vibe there - its home to the beatles!! I prefered the monkeys personally ;o)
As for my off my tits lifestyle - its been curbed a bit while i've been raw (see less sex drugs and rock and roll) but i'm dealing with how to be a balanced individual at the moment without becoming 'that' person who goes ooooooooooooooon about raw/health/blah blah. I am only 26, and I do want a social life, just not one that involves getting drunk off my face every weekend, not too much to ask is it?!?!
I'm gonna send this now on the off chance you're still about....

So Capital of Culture hey?? I've heard good things about Liverpool although I've never been. I have a love hate relationship with the big smoke - I heart London but I also heart the coast and the thought of living somewhere by it and without the stress although I'm sure there'd be something else to stress over.
So you're into colonics? I'm loving them. Am overdue one too. Nice I just shared that with you. Do you find you do that? I do - I note my changed in my colon and my stools in relation to what I've eaten and its embarrassing when I've forgotten I'm not with raw friendly or colon interested people. ha. Ooops.
