Ceremony

In school we are learning to do ceremony. We are learning to build a healing ceremony for someone else. We are learning to be beautiful for the Holy. We will each give a healing ceremony for someone else and will be healed by it as well.

The woman I am creating ceremony for has food issues. (Hmmm, wonder why she has me as a partner?) I plan to use blueberries in the east with the element of air, dried chile peppers in the south with the element of fire, orange water in the west, and ro…

Eating simple

I've been eating simple this week. Cutting up beets, carrots, celery, tomatoes and red bell peppers then putting a simple ACV dressing on top. I add a little ground pepper and enjoy. I'm slowly (boy am I slow sometimes) figuring out that I want my diet to be mainly vegetables and fruit, less nuts and seeds. I'm still craving the fats though. I'm not sure how to get through that craving. I have been thinking a lot more about cooking some of my food, but do not want to go back to eating SAD vegeta… Continue

Monday's meal...yummo!

Tonight I fixed Kristen's Moroccan Pesto Pasta with cilantro, parsley, mint, garlic and served over carrot pasta. It was so good! Yum!!!

Tuesday

Well, the chili was good, but HOT!!! Woohaaaa! Next time I will cut the cayenne in half.

It's supposed to get icy outside, so tonight I may be able to fix a nice dinner. I purchased stuff for lasagne and some greens.

It's hard to get outside to walk when it is slick, so maybe some dancing tonight as well. We'll see.

Some folks advise to start with the power of now when reading Tolle, so that's where I started. He has a wonderful way of restating some things I have been hearing along the way of my yoga healing path.

Thanks for your question on my blog comments. How to let go of the ego mind? I guess the answer would fill a book or two or three.... I think that is a question that has troubled thinking people for thousands of years. Meditation is one path. Start with reading Eckhart Tolle's Power of Now. Just try observing when you are spending a lot of time thinking about something; worrying about something from the past or projecting something into the future. All of those things keep you from FEELING.

We can share about this more if you like. I sent you a friend request. Right now I need to go walk my talk.

Hi Melody, whoa lots of 'time' has passed since your inquiry. No, living in Manhattan, KS I've not found much 'support'. I will tell you tho I have been my biggest barrier to my health. Since beginning my awareness of the raw diet the one that that I have remained faithful to is the green smoothie in the morning. My diet has been ALL OVER the PLACE...I guess that is part of the process tho? Maybe it would be 'easier' if I were in KC but, alas, I am not. I sure do miss the Yoga Gallery tho, so dearly...I remember one day you came in with dehydrated crackers - I was so mystified...I so appreciate your question regarding support, I do hope that I can continue to create and accept the pleasure of the raw diet...I went to a massage therapist who asked me "what prevents you from accepting pleasure?" What a great question! And my food intake is definitely connected to that...I perceive that certain foods give me pleasure b/c it is familiar or reminds me of 'family' or something but it isn't true pleasure...Spiritual connection. Well, I do hope you are well...thank you for your support I welcome any ideas and further support...peace

Hi Melody! Your tailbone release idea didn't seem weird to me at all, lol. My husband (Raw Deal) has done a little research into the Kenesic Energy stuff, but it was about 14 years ago now. I think we've forgotten most of what we learned! Thanks, it did seem to help.
I found with the cravings that limiting certain nuts at a time help me. I just did away with cashews because they're my biggest craving, and because it's just one thing, I seem to be fine.
Sending smiles your way,
Joanna
