This is fantastic. I am very excited for you!

Yes, I had candida issues for quite some time. I used to go to this EDST practitioner and she gave me all these homeopathic remedies. I also have purchased the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes, so I am quite aware of the effects of fruit on my blood sugar levels since I check A LOT each day.

I'm glad you are skeptical! Healthy skepticism is a good thing!

"i've always found fruit in big doesn't do me very well but when i think about it, that was while consuming fat not huge quantities but quite a bit of oil nuts tahini etc so maybe i've been getting the wrong end of the stick"

Your going to be shocked at how much those "small" amounts impacted your daily calornutrient ratio. Everybody is shocked once they analyze it.

Yes, we certainly can do this via email. My address is RobbyBarbaro@PathOfHealth.org

Now, the fact that your not currently good at keeping your food intake is going to have to change for us to do this experiment. When following the 80/10/10 Diet it is very easy to calculate your food consumption because each meal is so few ingredients.

Are you willing to go to wal-mart and buy a cheap food scale?

Also, I suggest you tell me what you are going to eat the day before you eat it, then we can get off to great start.

Looking forward to your email.

High Ten,

Robby

Hey Kris,

I have been following 80/10/10 for about 16 months now and it certainly is working well.

I have two things to share with you.

1. In response to your belief that not eating fruit will solve your candida issues.

"It is correct to say that Dr. Cousens approach to RF differs markedly from Dr. Graham's approach (the 80/10/10 diet) and from what I suggest in my writings. From my perspective, the disparity arises from fundamentally different perceptions of cause-and-effect.

Dr. Cousens focuses on suppression of the candida by not feeding (starving) them. Underlying this approach, he posits that the candida are the problem that needs to be addressed. In a Petri dish, it can be readily observed that candida feast on sugar and multiply very rapidly. So the idea is basically to deprive them of their food supply. Unfortunately, this is a lifelong undertaking, as your description well attests.

In contrast, our approach posits that the real problem is elevated blood fat (resulting from overeating fats), which inhibits insulin from effecting transport of sugar (glucose, fuel) from the blood stream and into the cells. The glucose level in the blood stream rises, stressing the system and evoking various responses. Over time, as the body's own capacity to respond (vitality) diminishes due to exhaustion (overuse), other solutions inherent in Nature's design begin to take hold. One among these is candida. From our perspective, the candida perform a life-sustaining function, providing at least a modicum of blood sugar management; without this, the person would become comatose and/or die rather quickly. So we prefer to remove the fats from the diet. When we do this, the body reasserts its own inherent insulin functionality, blood sugar management normalizes, and the candida recede into the background.

Speaking for myself, I find the idea of starving the candida fundamentally at odds with the notion of "Tree of Life". My own religious beliefs and sense of spirituality lead me away from such choices and in the direction of solutions which benefit all life.

Best,
Elchanan"

If you chose to let me analyze what you are eating and make suggestions your candida issues would likely be gone in two weeks. You can do this by providing Nutridiary.com screen shots, then I can give you constructive advice. My screen shots can be seen here:

2. "seems like the best place to be getting energy"

Energy does not come from food. Food provides fuel, sleep provides energy. What do you do every night when you are tired? You go to bed. What happens when you wake up? You have energy. It's very simple All the people in the world teaching that we should eat this and that for energy literally do not understand the basics of Health Creation.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

High Fives,

Robby
