About Me:
I want to feel as good as possible and imagine that's what everyone else is up to too, even if it's not obvious. I have four children, Bruce born 1987, Jasmine 1990, Bertie 1999 and Lizzy 2001. I and the youngest two have been nearly all raw since 2001. Jas has been high raw since autumn 2007. Bertie and Lizzy are home -educated.
Relationship Status:
Single
Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
chocolate hemp pudding, mangoes, fresh figs; green smoothies( for their effects), ditto nettle juice; bee pollen and cacao ground together all mixed up with flax oil, he shou wu and crystal manna and even blue manna as well, Sharpham untreated, raw, biodynamic Jersey cows milk, rooibosch tea with this in. I broadly follow the raw humour 10 10 80 diet although i admit i spend less than 10% my time preparing food and hardly any worrying about it. Nearly all i eat is raw because i like it but i would fearlessly eat a boiled egg if i felt like it.
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
sunshine, beaches, trees, flowers, birdsong, blue skies, stars, being with my children, unravelling belief systems, what's going on (up to a point), snuggling in bed - you get the picture
Favorite Books or Authors:
Ringing Cedar Series by Vladimir Megre and Anastasia, The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton, The Continuum Concept by Jean Liedloff, Left in the Dark by Tony Wright and Graham Gynn

are you bringing up children raw?

I hadn't seen your response before. I was raising a child raw. One of my siblings begged me to let my child spend a few weeks with them. This sibling got my kid into processed white flour, processed 'vegetarian' cheese and typical American candy. I couldn't get my child off those foods after that, because my spouse was raised with junk food and relishes buying lots of crap to no end. My child after a while chose vegan because of outside influence, and sticks with that, organic, simple foods, but not necessarily the healthiest foods.

Have a great weekend!

Be well.

Blessings to you and your beautiful little ones.

Hi Holly,

I just wanted to say that i found you very brave and wise for having been able to see what you re kids were missing.
It s good to stay open mind and willing to evolve everyday.
It s going to be probably very usefull for a lot of future kids.
Myself i thought raw vegan was the best ever diet and i wanted my kids to be raw vegan (i don t have any yet) but now since all this big conversations around growing kids on a raw vegan diet and the lot of problem that some can have, i will be very cautious to not take risks with my kids health. And if i choose this diet for them i will try to be very aware of how they feel and look and use supplements or a lacto ovo vegetarian diet if i feel it s what they need.
It helps me aswell to be more open mind.
So thanks.
Alix.

Hey Holly,

Congrats to you for listening to your body and keeping an open mind. I went raw about a year ago and have had several months of being 100 percent raw. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience so far. It's been great, but I am only following about 90 percent for the last several months. Now and then, I'll have a scrambled egg, some sushi, maybe a piece of chicken. I also do green juice or a green smoothie almost every day. But I look at what the primates are doing and contrary to popular belief, they are not 100 percent vegans either. -- Jessica

Dear Holly, Unravelling belief systems... I know what you mean, I'm a David Icke reader! I have just been running my eye over the forum thread about the newspaper article. I don't understand all the negativity that has been directed towards you. Thanks for your honesty. Also, I have just had a look at your blog and oceanwavevibrations.com and I felt very much at home! Lots of Love to you and your children. Here's to freedom of speech!
P.S. : one of my favourite quotes is by Kate Magic Wood too!

Hi Holly- I was just looking at your fascinating website. I had to hold myself back from spending hours reading;) I see that you're hip to a lot of the "behind the scenes" workings of governments and "secret" groups- right up my alley. I'm glad you're sticking up for the raw fringe (how funny; as if raw isn't already "fringe" enough!) i.e. non hardcore vegans:)

Hi Holly- quite a snashy pantomime seems to be going on with this article bizniz. I have been following the discussion today and it seems to be rippling with quite a lot of disturbed vibration. It's certainly making me reflect on the almost furious allegiance some people seem to have with Raw Veganism- whatever that is. The fury is a bit of a worry. Then again could it just be the odd ego or two, borrowing a cause to assert itself? Hard to say. in any case- say whatever you want to say, eat whatever you frigging well want to eat, and love relentlessly :) It's all good when you smile with it. Cooked/ Raw/Giblets. The universe clearly forgives far more than we do. x x x x x

Hi Holly. How are you? Sorry that some of the community may be acting rude to you. It's so lovely being raw, a shame some rudees try to spoil it. I think some people just enjoy harassing single mothers. I do raw dairy too. It's helped me a lot. I wish my kid wanted it, but we're all individuals with our own wants. I wish you (and your children) a gorgeous day!
