Hi there Rawny - I took a little break from that book - but did finish, A New Earth and I loved loved loved it! I had so many (as oprah would say, "ah ha" moments.... great book and I want to read it again soon. I have been busy with school so haven't had too much time to finish reading, "The Disappearance of the Universe," - plus it's very difficult to understand sometimes...but here's a link so you can check it out : http://www.garyrenard.com/Preview.htm
It's quite interesting. If that link doesn't work by clicking on it or copying and pasting - just google the title and it will come up.
I don't think there is IM; that was my incorrect interpretation of the "Send Message" feature...
That's cool you'r coming up to LA; give me a shout if you want to meet up for lunch or something... I have no plans for the weekend, just getting settled in. I live up the street from Cru :) and 5 minutes from "Real. Raw. Live." I'll send you a message with my cell.
you know my father speaks chinese and my mom speaks korean but they don't speak eachother's respective languages. i always knew, though, when they were talking about my brother or me. just had a sense for it, lol.
you know, i didn't realize there was an IM on this thing! not sure how it works, but if you figure it out, tell me! ^_^ i'm actually going to be in your hood this weekend. my sense of LA is totally non-existent but i will in west LA with a girlfriend. hopefully i can convince her to hit some raw spots with me. :) i know of cru, leaf and juliano's. how i wish we could go to aulac but i think that will be too far to drive to.
yea, i miss my grandparents too. they had the best house growing up. my grandma was really into gardening: roses, irises, tulips, crocus, rhodendron, violets, honeysuckle. she had a magnolia tree, a grape vine, a japanese red maple and a whole vegetable garden. i loved helping her pull weeds and pick sugar snap peas. now you're the one who's jogging my memory. :)
my dad is chinese, my mom's korean. i speak fluent spanish and so-so french. the only two words i know in hebrew are shalom and choqul (sp?)...the latter is supposed to mean "hot chocolate"...heh.
i wholeheartedly agree re peaceful coexistence. human rights is a passion of mine.
