Hi sheri
what great hair you & your kids have! curls are so great. adding to the ayurveda comment on darkmoondoll's page - i think i was told that i am a fair mix of vata and pita - that pitta is from my small but athletic build... and vata is from my high energy and lightheartedness?? but yeah, the woman who assessed me told me that warming foods like ginger, cayenne, etc will comfort me and keep me open (energetically).
your family is gorgeous :D good to "meet" you!

Hi Sheri,
Congratulations for your daughter going to Paris for a year...lucky lucky girl!! I hope you have a wonderful time when you go to see her in Feb. With regards to how easy it is to be Raw in Paris, I am afraid I cannot really help you. I am located down south. I am sure that Paris is well ahead of us down here when it comes to the raw community/restos/organic shops (called Bio in french by the way). One safe haven is that in practically every restaurant you will always always find a selction of healthy salads to chose from (French ladies are accustomed to being healthy when it comes to social eating - they just seem to get it right)....they may have meat or cheese on them but just ask to omit these....don't what every you do explain why.....will get too cmplicated :-)
I hope you manage to find a raw community in Paris whilst you are there.....Bare in mind that the French have only just started to get their heads around vegetarianism........although you may well be pleasantly suprised in the capital...I am sure you will be!
Sorry I could not be much help sheri.......Have a wonderful time and enjoy the splendor of it all!!!
Bon courage
Loulou
Thanks? haha
I've been gaining weight from stress though, so EHH..not bad thing, since i'm about 5'5 and look better at 110 as opposed to my usual 100lbs.
different peoples bodies function and thrive better on certain foods..I can do high fat no problem, but if I start consuming a lot of natural sugars, yeah...weight piles on like crazy cakes.
so far the only non-dessert thing I have posted at the time would be the pizza..I plan on doing more soon for the Thanksgiving holiday..so those will be up around the 27/28th. :]
Awww. yeah I did go with my boyfriend so it was easier for me. Ah, she is having the (carrie) sex in the city syndrome. anyway, when I was there we didn't really make friends with anyone because we were on the move a lot. however, in nice we did meet a nice couple in the hostel. the rain in paris has a strange way of just sucking the life out of you no matter how beautiful paris is. anyway, one of my favorite places to go when i was there was to museum d/orsay. the paintings there are beautiful and very uplifiting. also, we use to love to go to les halles and walk around because there are always markets outside with tons of lovely fruit and spices and what not. plus the parks near there are fantastic. i hope this helps. if you need any moer suggestions i can look into my france folder and see what else i can find. i hope the rain passes and your daughter is able to enjoy her time there!
Hey Sheri!
I was in France for three weeks and traveled all around, but I was in Paris the longest. It was the most wondeful place in the world -- your daughter is very lucky to be over there. She must be smart! I want to live there so bad!
Yeah, isn't the period thing so weird? I think in terms of you not getting your period over there - regardless of whether you are raw or not the food quality, water quality, just the quality of everything is so superior to what we have here that your body just starts to clean itself out. My boyfriend lost 10 pounds while we were in France while still eating crepes and pizza. I was actually raw the whole time I was there and even, even more so than when I was in the States because they don't have all those raw goodies and what not.
I had the best fresh dates in Paris. And if your daughter is into the raw thing or just healthy stuff in general tell her to check out Bob's Juice Bar near Gare du Nord (i think, you can check online.) - best juices and it great vegan/veg fare.
Are you a Beatles fan too?? If so, have you read Patti Boyd's autobiography Wonderful Tonight?
Hi Sheri, I saw on a friend's page that your daughter is in Paris? I will be there in April and May, will she still be there? Is she raw? Is she there for college? Don't you love 20 questions? Your pictures are beautiful, and I LOVE YOUR QUOTE- it may be my new mantra if you don't mind hee hee...
Thanks, just say what I mean and mean what I say... : )
I would add you as my friend but I can't. You have a beautiful family and make some tasty looking food. Where are the beach pics taken?
Hey Sheri! Yeah it's a great song eh?
Thanks for the comment, I hope you're doing ok. I wont' say I've got it down to a T just yet but I'm getting there - it's a massive learning process. I wish I knew ten years ago what I know now!!
How are things with you? x
