I have a 3 year old who spends most of his day attached to my leg. But, even with the extra 30 lbs, we are able to play games, read books and prepare meals together. We eat mostly raw and love it. My son begs for green shakes all day long When my head isn't spinning, I'm a writer, a wife, and someone who is very passionate about helping others.

Hi, Gina!
Yes, I am planning on going to this meetup. WOuld love to see you there.
Summer is wonderful!
Are you bringing Dougie? He's adorable. I promise I won't feed him off my plate :-)
I've been busy lately -- work, work, work.
I think you're doing the BED, right? I have the book, but have not got yet to reading it. I bought a jar of culture veggies the other day, and had it all at once :-) I've gotta learn how to make that.
Hey Gina GI2MR is coming to the windy city on July 5th. We hope you can join us for our first Chicago Meetup. Here are the details: http://events.giveittomeraw.com/chicago/
It is very admirable that you took it upon yourself to find other avenues & not just go with the flow. you educated yourself to find another way to help your son with his autism. im studying to be a speech language pathologist assistant for disabled individuals. Spending time with individuals with disabilities is my passion in life. kudos to you and all your hard work. it has paid off and will continue to do so in the future for you and your son and other's that are inspired by your courage.
You are right: when the time is ripe, right things comeour way. :-) Yes, I do plan to go. I try to attend most raw events, since there are not many, as raw people are not too many (well, for now). The next one is May 25th. We can go together, if you like. People are very friendly there.
It's great that your kid (what's his name, by the way?) is growing up raw! It's really cool.
Wow, a year without sugar sounds like a long time! Kudos for you. :-)
Where are you in Chicago?
Hi, Gina.
Awww, the kid is SO cute! I love kids.
I am raw. I had eaten cooked meat twice since january. I don't know what that makes me. I kind of don't want to affix any labels or measure -- I'll get crazy. I'm just allowing myself to explore. I like it so far.
How long have you been raw?
There's quiet a raw community in Chicago. I go to a few potlucks. Here's a link to a big Chicago raw community:

They have a potluck on 4/12, Saturday. (Usually it's every third Saturday of the month, but they've been shuffling them lately). It's fun.
So, is your partner raw too?
I know that little train too! I have a 2 year old. :-)

You're welcome.
I have thyroid issues, too, so I don't do much with broccoli either (except maybe the occasional cream of broccoli soup). I hear bananas are beneficial for the thyroid. Maybe that's why I eat so many of them.
Glad you like the 21 Seasoning Salute. It just makes life easier sometimes; very convenient. I've got my fingers crossed that the second attempt should come out good.

I see you're from Chicago. I'm in Evanston. Do you ever go to raw potlucks?
I started a group called Raw Women. I hope you'll join. Have a great day!
