Here are 50+ more book reviews for Personal Development for Smart People. It’s been wonderful to see all the different insights people picked up from the book. I’ve been seeing the book in local bookstores. The local Barnes & Noble stores have at least a half dozen copies on their shelves. Borders doesn’t stock as many, [...]

Juice Feasting - Day 26

The past couple days have been interesting to say the least. After my spa day on Monday, I felt more relaxed, but I still felt pretty aggressive. I woke up Tuesday morning feeling hostile and belligerent. Later in the day, the anger went away, and I was left with this incredible feeling of power and energy, [...]

Juice Feasting - Day 24

Last night I went through some pretty severe emotional detox. I started feeling incredibly angry, and I had to warn my family to steer clear of me. I wished I was still training in martial arts just so I could pummel something. I listened to a Paraliminal before bed, and that helped — it relaxed [...]

Juice Feasting - Day 23

Physically I’m feeling fine, but my will to continue juice feasting has been weakening a lot. My heart isn’t in it as much as it once was. Weight Loss I weighed 170.4 this morning for a net loss of 8.6 pounds in 22 days. I’m now wearing my belt one notch tighter. Feeling Unmotivated Aside from the weight loss, I [...]

About Me:
I run a popular personal development blog and online forum at StevePavlina.com. I've been vegetarian since 1993 and vegan since 1997 and went raw in early 2008.

My first book Personal Development for Smart People will be published by Hay House on October 15, 2008. It's about the seven fundamental principles that underlie all successful growth efforts (truth, love, power, oneness, authority, courage, and intelligence).

I live in Las Vegas (Summerlin area).

See http://www.stevepavlina.com/about-steve-pavlina.htm for more details.
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
Mainly I want to make friends with other raw foodists, especially high-energy people who live lives of their own choosing instead of blindly following social norms.

I'm also here to help out and contribute by sharing lessons from my own path of growth, as I learn from others who've overcome the challenges ahead of me.

Is your life safe? The word safe is both an adjective and a noun. As an adjective it means “being free from danger.” As a noun it’s “an enclosed storage container with a lock on it.” If you’re living the adjective, you’re living the noun. -- me :)

Hi, Steve, just a simple question. As to questions like whether you should continue your juice feast after 30 days, why can't you just ask your higher self or spiritual guide to help you make a decision as Erin often does for her clients? or is this more of a matter of personal responsibility that you have to make a conscious decision for yourself and by yourself after having had the experience with the trial for 30 days? Just really curious about your opinion on this! Thanks

Hi Steve,
I've been reading your fasting blog entries, and I'm curious. Why don't you slow down the detox symptoms? You have many days ahead of you. Pace yourself. I notice you are drinking a lot of the most cleansing fruits. Why not bring the cleansing juices down and the building juices up? Just for a while. Till emotions and symptoms settle. Maybe more greens with a little green apple and ginger for taste. Juices that won't detox you as fast. I did a juice fast with mostly greens. I had some ferocious work deadlines and negotiating and to do at time. The detox symptoms were barely there. I think the high quantity of green juices everyday made it smooth and manageable.
Thank you for blogging your juice feast. I look forward to your posts.
Take care,
Aimee

Thanks Steve, I appreciate that very much! I was wondering if you might see it : ). I also saw your adsense post - much respect! For exactly that reason I have always resisted adsense on any of my sites - if you are not already, you will soon be in love (in the nicest possible, non-narcissistic way) with the Steve you are becoming (and on one level already are); a coming home of the sweetest kind. It is awesome to watch and thank you so much for being so brave as to do this publicly and so honestly.

Love and hugs, Karen

Thank you for dropping the ads. It makes a huge statement.
You are creating space for creativity and light. It will bring you much more than money. Creates a path, a space, an energy, to attract bigger things that suit you better. Being open and clear is crucial for self-development. Thank you for having the courage to stand in that space.

Xo,
A.

I remember you made a thread about cocoa a while back, Steve.

Or "crack0w" as Matt Monarch likes to call it. ;)

I found this very anti-cocoa thread and thought I'd share it since, as is the case with busy forums, you may not have noticed it:
http://www.giveittomeraw.com/forum/topic/show?id=1407416%3ATopic%3A306249

It seems a bit one-sided, but then I guess all you have to go by is your experience with cocoa to see if what you’re reading has any relations to reality.

I've no experience with raw cocoa myself.
