I have had psoriasis since my son was born 13 years ago (funny how my mom and sister didn't get it either until having children). I currently have psoriasis on just my knee's and elbows, but have, in the past, been covered on my hands, arms, stomach, back and legs. Anyway, I am not completely raw just yet, but I'm working on it. I would say that about 2/3 of my diet is raw, sometimes more, rarely less. That being said, here's my story.
(I guess I should mention that I had once used the…

I wonder if you would update us on your progress with your psoriasis?
Hope to see you this Saturday March 29th at "Successfully Raw!"
Anyway, that's really interesting that you found a guy who does live blood cell analysis. I was going to do that in the city, but Pete Vincent told me that you need to go a few times to get a truly accurate reading. And the guys in Manhattan charge an arm and a leg. I've been looking for a guy with cheaper prices so I can see him more than once. Did you happen to find out how much he charges, or perhaps where he's located so I can contact him myself?
I think my aversion to L.A. wasn't so much the city, it was the air quality. Everytime I went there I had a hard time with the air (breathing is a must for me). After having been in Portland and Sunriver, the air was so clean, and we both decided that it was a transistional job for him, so it was a mutual agreement for me to stay in Sunriver.
I think LA is a great place for your sister. It's fun and lots to do, I just wanted something a little slower. Like you I prefer the more rural areas. We live in La Jolla which is a little more suburban than San Diego but it's a big tourist city. I too like New York for all of it's entertainment and business, like San Francisco. Seattle is a nice city too. I used to go up there several times a year and really enjoyed the beauty of it all.
I also know what you mean about the people in the Philly area, my brother-in-law lives there and the people are different.
We lived in Plano, Texas for 14 years and you want to talk about different. Much more materialistic town than I would have thought.
I guess as I get older I just like it a little slower in my atmosphere. I like keeping busy and I am always busy, but that is self induced. I prefer to have control over it and the city just seems to be a little too busy for me.
We do what we must for our loves. If you are ever headed out to Oregon again just let me know and we'll see if we can work something out.
