About Me:
"I can tell you that our bodies sometimes serve as the symbolic ground where order and disorder fight for surpremacy, an unesay divide that to some of us feels as porous and inconstant as a frayed tatter of guaze." Caroline Kettlewell

I love documentaries esp. those concerning food politics and 9/11 truth (inside job? yes.) Music, i'd die without it.
Running +Yoga = sanity. I have an acute obsession with France. Someday I will travel to India and live in an ashram. Yurts are way awesome. I have an unhealthy desire to be a "Cohen". The High Life

In France I was basically following 80/10/10 with the exception of the oil I used in my salad and the handful of brazil nuts I would soak and eat with a banana. I ate at least a pound of salad a night and hoards and hoards of fruit. Oh, cannot for get the mature coconut from Monoprix! What a treat that was! Before France I weighed 125 and when I came back I weighed 115. We were also quite active, walking at least 5 to six miles a day. In Nice I ran 6 miles everyday and while in Paris I did 45 mi… Continue

To dehydration and beyond

I went to my first potluck last week at Arnold's Way in PA. IT WAS AWESOME! The food was so wonderful and everyone was so lovely. I cannot wait to go back. Being there really inspired me to get my raw food tush on the move and buy a dehydrator. For what I pay in WF to buy raw crackers and treats and such I could easily be making myself at home - which any way you put it is much healthier and enviromentally sound as there will be no plastic containers, etc. My next big purchase is going to be a r… Continue

Bonjour!

It has been such a time since I have written but with good reason because for the past two weeks I have been in France! Actually, right now I am in Nice which is right between Manaco and Cannes. Lovely beaches, kind of touristy, excellent for running, looks like Miami but nicer with more Italian architecture. I don't really feel like I am in France at all!

This trip, food wise, has been very challenging. I did not expect to come here and drink green smoothies or find raw food t…

...In the sunshine of your looooveeee

Between the chaoticness of NYC, school, and work I barely have time to take a minute and just breathe. I find myself rushing from one place to another -- literally, like I total loser running to get to the subway, running to get to Westerly, running home. I just feel this constant pressure to get places as soon as possible. I hate being late and because I am so busy I feel the need to optimize my time. Logically, if I run, I will get there faster. If I run, I won't miss that train tha…

Citrus Mania!!!

Ok, so lately I have been utterly obsessed with the sweet and tangy wonder that is citrus. I put limes in my smoothies, in my dressing, and oranges in my smoothies....as I am eating a whole orange on its own! I guess it is just the fact that it is getting warmer here in NYC and my body knows what it needs Vitamin D/C. I have also been eating raw coconut. I am not sure on the elemental benefits of that, but I know I like it. lol.

My lunches have been green filled lately. Yesterday I…

The Super Immune Tonic System is a protocol developed by David Wolfe:

The SUPER IMMUNE TONIC SYSTEM represents a technological breakthrough in cellular cleansing, physical detoxification, longevity, and immune system transformation. This program is designed to significantly lower the amount of calcification (bad calcium) present in the body. Calcification (the accumulation of bad calcium) has been shown to be a common factor in nearly every illness and aging condition including: heart disease, kidney stones, arthritis, and even wrinkles. The higher our level of calcification, the more difficult it is to keep our skin, bones, joints, nervous system, and immune system running at a peak state.

Generally, calcification increases with age. The greater our age, the more I recommend that we adopt the SITS Program into our lifestyle. As we adopt the SITS Program, we immediately lower our level of calcification (bad calcium), and discover that we feel younger and healthier than ever!

The SITS Program is simple and easy. It consists entirely of natural products: superherbs, superfoods, super-supplements, some mineral compounds, and basic longevity technologies. The SITS Program is primarily focused on adding a few simple habits into our daily routine that require less than 5 minutes of time once we get the hang of it. That is why it is a tonic system. A
"tonic" is something you can imbibe every day. If we have the discipline to brush our teeth every day, we can do the SITS Program!

The SITS Program is designed to help improve immediately:
• Bone and joint problems
• Inflammation
• Aches and pains
• A weak immune system
• Auto- immune conditions such as fibromyalgia, herpes, and Lyme's disease
• Chronic skin challenges such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis
• And many more chronic conditions...

The SITS Program contains protocols that have been scientifically proven to remove the
following toxic metals and volatile organic compounds from the human body:

Toxic Metals:
Lead
Mercury
Cadmium
Arsenic
Aluminum
Antimony
4

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs):
Formaldehyde
Dichlorobenzene
Toluene
Methylene chloride
Benzene
Tetrachlorodibenzodioxin
Tetrachlorodibenzofuran
Xylene
Hexachlorobiphenyl
How is this possible? By implementing the elements of the SITS Program into our daily routine,
the root cause of all these conditions, NANOBACTERIA is attacked and removed.

hi fellow kelp noodle enthusiast!

*275 Organic Market- ask for the Kombu Noodles, they are in the freezer section and in green package. they also have it in dried form in the nori/spices aisle
*Jasmart on 23rd St- ask for kelp or kombu noodles, they have it near the front in the refridgerator section, also in dried form in the back near seaweed
*Whole Foods Columbus Circle- ask for Kombu Noodles, they are located next to tofu in the refridgerator section. It's in a green package (same brand as 275 Organic Market, but not frozen) they also have it in dried form in the nori and spices aisle

I love some of the same music you do....
