My momma, Mildred Parker Taylor, joined the ancestors on July 22, 2008. She was 90 years old a victim of Dementia/Alzheimers. She had no other illnesses, and was not cared for in a institution setting but died at home surrounded by the family that loved her. I was her caregiver, as well… Continue

No, I am not offended. You have a right to express your opinion-- regardless of who it is directed to. I understand your comment after rereading it.
If the natives weren't so lovely and open, I would not exist. I guess you could say I wouldn't exist if the conquistadors didn't come to New America as well. I am Mexican and my mother looks very Native American. People call her Poco, (short for Pocohontas) I have Navajo, and Ute (most likely Aztec or Mayan as well) and many more tribal ancestry even though I don't really look like it.
Anyway, many things can be interpreted differently so I just added the comment to clarify. I had just reread the post and I didn't want to seem like I was laughing at anything the Natives had to go through (or didn't want to creat contraversy or confusion about my intent). I was laughing at the sattire. I thought it was making fun of Columbus and we have a holliday to celebrate all of this. That was just my interpretation.
Anyway, I hope all is well with you. If I have offended you in anyway, I am sorry.
Peace, hope and love to you,
