There's going to be a lot of nasty comments on this one.

(The following blog has 99.9% chance of containing obcenity. And a 43.9% of offending you. I appologize for my lack of good manners and approach during the following paragraphs.)
The following "opinion" stemmed from a discussion here on giveittomeraw.com; to protective the naive, I am not going to point it out, but it's not very hard to find either. I'll start by saying this, becoming raw was a choice I made for many personal reasons. Some where physical, some emotional. As a ful…

Failure for dehydrator....Victory for mushroom steak!

Okay. So after going 5+ stores, driving half way around Boston, the only dehydrator I could find was that cheap Ron-co as seen on TV crap. And it was over-priced, so no. I am going to order one online. It was a little pretentious of me to buy veggies to make stuff in my dehydrator prior to having one. So if I loose out, it's my fault. Story of my life.

Anyway, to ease my pain, I make my FIRST mushroom steak and it was YUMMY. Thank you to the peeps at goneraw.com for posting this. It wa…

Yay!

I am going to buy my first dehydrator today! YAY for me! I am so excited. I am going to make onion bread and raw-bacon as soon as I get home (well...start soaking anyway...ha ha.)

It's snowing and crappy, and I am a little down because "the boyfriend" is being a jerk. But nothing will stop the pursuit of my new dehydrator.

AND I am having herb-mushroom steak for dinner. MMMM.

So next time the weather is crappy and your boyfriend is being…

HI thanks for the welcome and good advice.I had a quick look at a local market, and it had masses of amazing fruits. Avocados here are 3 times the size than home. They are as big as grapefruits!! Which I love as avocados are a favourite. I've found some raw nuts just not raw cashews which I love. THough I'm off to a raw food retreat in a couple weeks in BRazil!! should be exciting and I hopefully can get lots of great informaiton on where to buy things.

I just saw your link on nana milk!! I'll have to check it out.. :)

Hi I saw your unanswered question...just get some cacao. It has a bigger buzzy kick than coffee I think! People debate whether it is good or not, but if it helps get you off coffee then go for it ;) A good way to take it is:
7 home juiced oranges + huge handful of spinach + slither lemon rind + 4-8 tbsp cacao nibs. It'll wake you up no problem.

HI Carissa

my children did of course see a doctor when they were young, but not for illnesses ... apart from a very brief bout of measles that healed up within a couple of days ... a broken leg for one son etc. I chose not to have either of them immunized, which was the primary reason i was very conscious of what they ate and drank, particularly when they were younger. I live in New Zealand and immunization is not a legal requirement for schooling etc, although i believe some private schools do require a record of vaccinations on enrolment. You must of course be aware that calcium and iron can very effectively be obtained from plant sources, not solely from meat and dairy etc ... ?

Oh, man, Sox fan. Ugh. Should I still talk to you? 2004 remains the worst year of my life. (My girlfriend left me, Bush won re-election, and the Sox came back from 3-0 against my beloved Yanks).

Well, at least we can still discuss raw foods, right? Hey, how 'bout them avocadoes?

I can't open discussions because GITR has bugs with Explorer but my raw organic sour cream: Make your own rejuvalac(one of the best raw drinks!), put in blender with macadamia nuts(can use pine nuts, almonds or brazil nuts or coconut flesh, just experiment), some miso(can use sea salt or just lemon/lime instead play with this recipe), 1/4 water, add the water and blend the rest of the ingredients until super smooth and whipped. I recommend getting a Blendtec Blender it does the best job and I have discounts on my website!
