For some reason I too have the urge to post a blog here... I don't know what it is, maybe all the inspiring people I see here encourage me to be myself and express myself...
Anyway, I have just recently started eating raw food. Why? Because I want to feel good!!!
I was not raised in a healthy matter, there was no consciousness about food or health whatsoever in my family. In my teenage years I was sick a lot, always tired and having headaches, candida infections, etc... When I was a…

Glad the blog was useful, that's why my mom and I write it! So you've contributed to the blog's raison d'etre ;) My mom is trying raw, and because she is the cook my dad is tagging along. Mom has already lost 3 or 4 inches around her waist in a few weeks, which is very exciting. I'm very glad that my parents jumped on this little bandwagon, and I am looking forward to their health improving.
I see A New Earth is one of your favorite books. I have been listening to the audio tapes for it recently, and I must say that Eckhart Tolle has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. Even after 11 months of spiritual reading on all sorts of subjects, it was a sentence in the Awakening chapter of A New Earth that gave me the most "progress" I have had during that time. It's a lot simpler than many yogis and mystics make it out to be.
I visited the Netherlands last Spring with my family, and we stayed with my mom's childhood friend in Amstelveen, maybe 30 minutes from Amsterdam by train. Had a wonderful time, and really enjoyed the country. Yay for bicycles, pofferkes, canals and tour guides with heavy accents, wonderful dairy farms with plenty of free samples, cobblestones, and a refreshing, open atmosphere =)
I've only been doing raw food for a month or so, but the breakfast fruit smoothie, lunch gigantic salad, and oatmeal and snacks for dinner seems to be working well. I am full of energy and I actually run up stairs without realizing it. It's an easy way of living, and I'm glad I found it while I'm still relatively young.
Wow, pregnancies are amazing! So are kids, they're pretty cute huh =)
