I'm on my second attempt at RAW eating. A year ago I healed myself of severe psoriasis with the help of a naturapath, colon hydrotherapy and a raw food diet. My skin cleared and I felt great but got complacent and now a year on am back to square one but my skin is even worse than before. So raw food for me is a definate must!!!!

Hi Jackie,
Thanks for making contact with me. It's good to know other raw food enthusiasts in the same area.
SlimRaw is the name of my company. I offer personal coaching for anyone who wants to get more raw food into their diet. I am so very keen to offer help to anyone struggling with their raw food journey. Support is so important if you re to be successful.
My background is basically that I have experienced greatly increased control over my eating patterns and lost weight through raw food after many years of yo-yoing with conventional cooked food diets. For me it started out as a weight loss diet, and then I discovered the multitude of other benefits of a raw food diet. My journey hasn't always been easy, and I am aware of the struggles that many of us have getting fully into the raw food thing.
Coaching is a way of helping you through those issues and struggles with structured advice and practical solutions. The coaching is personal to you, your life and where you are right now. It addresses your personal needs, which generic information, while often useful, cannot always be applied to yourself personally.
Have you seen my website (www.slimraw.co.uk)? It will tell you a bit more about me and SlimRaw. I will be getting a new and improved website soon.
If you have any specific questions about SlimRaw then please let me know. I wasn't sure whether you were enquiring as a potential client, or if you just wanted to make contact with me as a friend. Either way is good with me.
Warm wishes,
Sally.
Hi, thanks for saying hello. I still eat the occasional egg or fish and can't resist a mouthful of chocolate most days. Only about 2 weeks into it but have been full of energy and able to handle stresses at work that used to throw me. I'm not sure I want to try to be 100% raw - perhaps as time goes on I'll lean in that direction but this is definitely a long term lifestyle sea change. No rush! I wonder if you know: how can I make/where can I find raw chocolate?

Hi Jackie, thanks for your message. I have indeed noticed changes. Firstly although I wasn't 100% raw my thousands of black heads and enlarged pores on nose and forehead started to go back to normal. Then I went off to a camp with a bunch of children and other volunteers and we were fed on the regular diet white bread, plenty of baked beans, lots of sweets, etc. just a week and the problem came back, but after a couple of weeks on 100% (except some brown rice) and my skin is pretty good.
Although for old cysts it will take some time, I am quite happy with the results so far.
Hi Jackie. I don't have to tell you how stubborn P can be as a fellow sufferer.
I'm getting some real results from raw now and find coconut oil both orally and as a cream really helps. I'm quietly confident the P will slowly clear up if I keep doing what I'm doing. I'v long suspected there's a big connection to the gut with psoriasis as if digestion doesn't seem good P tends to be worse.
Hi Jackie - thanks for your message - good for you that you are giving this another go. I have been raw for about 3 1/2 months now and cannot believe the difference in me - I really wish I had discovered this sooner - perhaps I just wasn't ready? The introduction to raw was through a work colleague who handed me a 'Get Fresh' mag on the basis that she thought I might find it interesting. She is a vegetarian and I never understood why she never seemed in great health as I thought she was much healthier than me due to the no meat thing but now I understand! Anyway, she was right that I would be interested - I read a few of the articles and then launched myself into several raw food books and was just overwhelmed by how much sense it made and how the concept really seemed to resound with me. So, shortly after reading the books (Victoria Boutenko's '12 steps to Raw Food' - which shocked me to my core and Natalia Rose' 'Raw Food Life Force Energy' which made me realise that any step towards raw is beneficial) I decided to go for it and have been predominately 85-95% raw ever since. How are you getting on - what percentage would you say you are? Amanda
Hi Jackie Thanks for asking me to be your friend , where do you live,I am in Rownhams. I am amongst other things a raw food coach -teach raw food classes. Jenny
=) i love this website, its really amazing how we can all get together and support each other. so yeah, it takes time! you will get there, i know you will. it's really difficult, I have been on and off raw for 2 years...now i finally have been consistent with it for 2 months, but i completely messed up last night, i ate chicken, cookies, and all that junk. idk why, it was just a really bad craving and i gave into it. now ifeel sick! but the best thing i can do, is just drink a lot of green smoothies to flush my system, forgive myself, move on and just realize that all these times we go back are just part of the journey =) so i know you will get there! i read about your skin problem..i am so sorry, my aunt suffers from that. ya know what would help, olive oil and sea salt. if you mix them together, it becomes a great exfoliant..and also, you can mix celtic sea salt and water and spray it on you. =) you probably heard of it but if you didnt that would help hah and ofcourse raw foods are number 1! they made my skin very clear, after suffering from bad acne!
