Im 20 and Ive been raw for several months and along with yoga and the love of my Savior it has really been helping me on my journey out of a life ruled by anxiety and depression and into the freedom of health, wholeness, and radiance.
What type of friends are you looking to make here?
I have SOOO many! I love C.S. Lewis, Henri Nouwen,Madeleine L'Engle. "Serve God Save the Planet", "Walden", "Pride and Predjudice", "Eating for Beauty"....the list goes on forever! I love ALL kinds of books!!!
Favorite Quote:
"My dear children, let's not just talk about love; let's practice real love. This is the only way we'll know we're living truly, living in God's reality. It's also the way to shut down debilitating self-criticism, even when there is something to it. For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves. And friends, once that's taken care of and we're no longer accusing or condemning ourselves, we're bold and free before God!" - 1 John 3:18-21 (the message)

Yeah, I'm 'typical' and have only read the Chronicles of Narnia series. Growing up, my favorite series was written by L.M. Montgomery - all the Anne books, and others. In fact, I took a pilgrimage to Prince Edward Island and even changed my middle name from Ann to Anne (officially!) because Ann without an e is just incomplete. :-D If you haven't read any of her works, I would encourage you to - but I feel like you may have already!
My tastes have changed through the years and I get all geeked out on fantasy genre novels, but the old school stuff has a special place in the top-left corner of my heart.
Hey! I just finished the 80-10-10 book, and I think you might appreciate it. It definitely makes things simple, IMO. I'm not an expert (this is only my 21st day raw), but I had several "Oh! That makes sense!" moments while reading the book.
I noticed you like C.S. Lewis! I love all his books - I was cool enough to read them before they even made the PBS movie! Erk, that just aged me. :(
I can't wait to hear what you think of the book. The results has been so good, its hard for me not to be passionate about it :)
Nice to hear you enjoying mangos!!
And please, if anyone tells your something that turns you off from 80/10/10 or you have an experience that turns you off from 80/10/10 please let me know. I need to know what others are experiencing/thinking so I can be more accurate when talking about the program.
The book is written by Dr. Doug Graham. Most people talk about the quantity of fruit he recommends, but neglect to mention that his program calls for more greens than any other health program on the planet. It truly is the most ideal health program for humans.

I'll have to check out Lewis' other work! I am almost to the end of my current series and need something new to read. I get antsy without a good book.
