Mother, Lover, Court Reporter...Totally in love with my wonderful husband...and shamefully adoring of my two boys, age 2 and 7.
My approach to this lifestyle/way of eating is perhaps not as dogmatic as it should be, but I'm tired of feeling bad about not being perfect....so I'm taking it day by day.
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
I feel completely isolated in this Raw Food quest, since no one I have ever met in person has followed or researched it like I have. This community seems like a perfect fit for my connectedness needs!

HI:) Thank you so much for your kind words in your response to my blog post "transitions". You pointing out my depression regarding my mother was such a wow moment for me. So true! I didn't even think about that. It's funny how we as humans suppress the real issue clouding our own judgment and believing it is something else.
Your note opened my eyes to the true issue. Thank you so much!
mama, you just keep on nursing until he wants to stop, so long as you want.....it is absolutely the best thing for him, and dont let anyone tell you otherwise....i would still be "nursing"but my littlest had a bad latch at birth, and i have been pumping for the past 11 months. my milk is finally drying up, but it is perfect timing, she is really not interested anymore except at night, and that is for a bottle or 2, so im happy with how far we have come....i nursed my 1st little one for 2 years till she weaned herself, it is alot easier to transition that way.
wow a court transcriptionist! very cool.....i can imagine that would be sort of boring some days though....im glad that you found such a well paying job here in s.c. though....
i was about 80-90% raw a few months ago for about a month or 2 and i felt un-believable....but my milk supply dropped too fast, so i went back to a cooked veg. diet....but now that i am not lact. anymore i am excited to start back up....i would love to go 100% but i live in a cooked food house....so a little pasta now and then or rice is my sinful delight...hahaha oh and i love chocolate....boy does that get me in trouble....i love to make raw chocolate, but sometimes that yummy bar of dark choc beckons to me to be eaten.....
do you have any support there? or do you meet up with a raw group? im sure there are a few raw foodies there in columbia.....im sure that would probably help....when i have support, and someone to cheer me on on a daily basis it is much easier to get over the big hump.
let me know if i can help in any way.....
blessins
beck "morning
there is a great little place in lexington, or so i hear called 14 carrots that evidently has a great selection....not only health foods, but raw specialties....i havent been, but have heard about it, maybe you can check it out....it shouldnt be that far from you.....other than that, we have one "health food store " here in town, but it mostly caters to celiacs, so if i want cake or pasta made out of rice i am straight, but if i want bulk oat groats i am out of luck.....hahahaha....
let me know if you get a chance to make it to the carrot.....i might make a trip out that way just to check it out.
what do you depo??
i am a new re-dedicator, mow that my little one has weaned i am trying to get back to atleast 80% id love more, but ill go it slow to start off....it always causes tention in the house when i make major shifts in any area of my life, but it keeps me in check....good stuff.
