So, my coworkers at my new job are now officially clued in to the raw food that I eat. At first, I didn't want to make any waves, so I had been eating salads of various kinds, fruit and veggies with raw dips, and green smoothies in my red jar that disguises what's really inside. But yesterday, I brought celery/cucumber juice in a clear jar, an avocado, and medjool dates with almonds. Everyone commented on how pretty the juice looked (it was a particularly glorious shade of green) and a few stran…

Oh, life. You are so weird. I never made it to India. It just wasn't my time and now I am content with the way things have turned out. I have a new apartment in downtown Nashville (albeit with no furniture yet) and a well paying job that I enjoy with a group of progressive Methodists. Life has settled me down a bit. I discovered in this whole process that I had surrounded myself with a group of people who did not have my best interest at heart, nor did they bring out the best in me. I have left…

Surprisingly, the world does not stop its direction when I am uncomfortable. It's also surprising that even though it is such a simple cliche I still believe that the world will "stop for me." My car is completely broken, I have no job, I think my marriage is ending, and I am supposed to be in Mumbai already, but for some reason my work visa is still tied up at the embassy. It's looking like ANOTHER six weeks from now. I was supposed to be there March 1. So now, all my things are in boxes, some…

So this whole green smoothie thing is freakin' brilliant. Not just because I am now consuming about 1000% more greens. Not just because it is a quick alternative to shoving potato chips in my mouth in a starving fury. Not just because I now don't snack (secretly) on my boss's god-awful kraft cheese squares and "fat free" pringles when I am bored at work.
No, it's brilliant because I now use 100% of any produce that I buy before it goes bad in my refrigerator. That's right...100% WAY better than…

Maybe the flower children were really saying "give peas a chance", and we just misunderstood!
Are you going to Whole Foods tomorrow?
The spirit is real and dwells within.
I can't really "subscribe" to a religion as every "organization" has their good and bad. It's just so difficult for a group of people to dictate and interpret true divinity as it is something that can't be explained through words. It's power beyond words that humans can express.
Peace and Many Blessings! :-)
I'm listening to internet radio- luxuriamusic.com, and a song from the musical South Pacific (Bali Hai) is playing. So pretty, in that way that only old musicals are. All the ladies were so glamourous (and probably high maintenance, too!) back then. I love it:)
Here's that Sixpence "video" that my hubby filmed. He's supposed to do a proper video for them sometime later this year.
