Aloha! I've been exploring how to best be healthy since I was 12, and I finally and thankfully came across raw foods about 2 years ago. I took to it instantly! It never felt right to me that being healthy and happy should be such a complicated confusing process, and the simplicity and beauty of raw food made perfect sense. Unfortunately, I went through a lot in my life these last two years and fell into the extreme 100% raw then binge on junk food cycle. Food was my poison and my comfort. I've worked hard to find a sense of balance and restore my health for the past 6 months and I'm at a really good point in my life now. I look forward to each new day, because I know that it will just keep getting better and better!! :)

Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
I LOVE what I call "Deconstructed Guacamole" - 1 chopped avacado, 1 chopped tomato, 1 squeeze of lemon, cilantro, and sea salt. Mix and enjoy!
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
I am an artist focused on creating installation art that is powerful enough to inspire and foster positive changes in my community. My father is my teacher, he's currently directing a global work of art in collaboration with 198 artists in 198 countries. It's called the WorldWide Peace Marker Project and when completed it will have created the first real-world model of world peace. please visit www.wpmp.net and check it out!
I also love the beach, mountains, running, and always challenging myself with fun new adventures! :)
Favorite Books or Authors:
Too many to list! The books that most influenced my current lifestyle are: Ishmael, Sugar Blues (gave my 1st glimpse at food's ability to harm), Raw Food Real World (unexpected intro to raw foods!), The Continuum Concept (MUST READ for parents and really every one in general - it's an in depth look at why tribal people are so content).

Thank you! It's lovely to enjoy the work you do everyday. . . but I'm thinking of a break- possibly heading to California or yes maybe Hawaii and it depends on Seva or WWOOFing opportunities what part of Hawaii I end up in. . . California seems like where I'm leaning more towards, the San Francisco area. . .
how wonderful about your grandfather and father. . . and using seeds as well! some of my favourite pieces were recycled glass set over bezels containing lupine seeds, red chilis, cardamom seeds, etc. I love the tiny + hopeful beauty of seeds. . .
Ah I'm so envious of anyone in the warmth right now. . . I'm currently watching MORE snow fall outside. . . beautiful but oh so cold!
xx

Thank you so much for your response. It meant a lot... Its been tough since I normally get about 1/year and all of the sudden i had 3 within a matter of a few weeks! It's nice to at least be able to share this with someone. I was taking these pills that were suposed to help - but I stopped those and I did use abreeva this last time. Next time though, I will take your advice and not use anything to see what happens. Thanks again Kalon :)
Hey! RISD is a lot of work, but a great school... I have a strong appreciation for design and eventually I would like to combine it with my love for raw food! Check out my latest venture: www.davidwolfeatrisd.com
