About Me:: Oh what can I say? I'm a little bit of this, a little bit of that. I have been told that I am my own genre, that I can only be explained by "oh it's just Audra," and that I'm a little over-the-top----but all in good ways, part of what I consider to be my own quirky kind of charm. I think of myself as a silly, fun kind of person that likes to giggle, relax, and enjoy life.

I teach Special Education to students with autism in Manhattan. I love my job!! It can be a bit of an obsession, some may say; other say it's my "calling." Either way, it's a wonderful part of my life, and I'll talk about it non-stop if you allow me.

I am also the proud owner of Kinsey, the anti-cat. He rolls over to get his belly scratched, has a bathrobe, and walks on a leash. Seriously, you have no idea.

I have been a vegetarian for the past 4-5 years, raw since February. Enjoying the journey!

What type of friends are you looking to make here?: Anyone into raw!! People that are inspirational and encouraging, that make the journey even better.

Favorite Raw Food or Dish:: Raspberry Thumbprints from Pure Juice & Take-Away

Interests (outside of Raw Food):: jumping in rain puddles, living green, getting lost in a novel, rocking out in my pajamas, playing dance dance revolution, uncooking scrumptious raw meals, green smoothies, shopping at the food coop, afternoons in the park, indie music concerts at tiny places, finding new restaurants, losing time in bookstores, penguins, minimalism, keeping a clean house, updating my blog, bikram yoga, chi, running

I just read Natalia Rose's Raw Food Life Forece Energy which does a good job of tying in raw food and the etheric and higher bodies. (As an ethical vegan, I wish she weren't so into fish, but to his each his own, I guess). Also, I've been seeing an amazing energy healer in NYC, Ze'ev Kolman (www.zeevkolman.com). Hans Holzer, Ph.D., says Ze'ev is the greatest healer since Edgar Cayce and my experience with him has been really positive.
