It's a really good natural sunscreen, no chemicals at all, full of antioxidants, not greasy at all & also utilizes bio-melanin from the date palm along with physical mineral blockers. I try to stay away from Titanium Dioxide though as I've heard some iffy things about it reacting with the sun to form free radicals on the skin & also that it tends to be a cheaper & inferior physical block than Zinc Oxide, & also more contaminated when mined. Their tanning lotion & spf 10 don't have any Titanium, but the spf 20 does for some reason so I get the former one & just add more of my own zinc oxide powder to it to make it higher & also add in a little bronzer for a tint too sometimes. I only really use sunscreen on my face & just let my body be. That's something that can be done too, just add Zinc Oxide powder to your fave moisturizer to make a sunscreen.
Interesting Kamalla. Maybe I'll try it sometime, or at least recommend it. Where do you get zinc oxide in powder form? Is it online? Or in local drug stores?
Really? It's phototoxic? Where did you read that? Not that I am disbelieving you, but if there's a site listing phototoxic substances, I'd love to see it.
I use Megan Gale's Invisible Zinc. It's free of anything nasty and protects you so much better and longer than regular sunscreen. You can buy it tinted too. I'm not sure if it sells outside of Australia yet though...
The sun is the source of all the energy on earth. I wouldn't want to block any of it from getting to me. Check out this site: http://www.solarhealing.com/ This man has lived in India without eating for several years. He's been studied at several universities, confounding PhDs.
