Body Fat Percentages and Food Choices

How do I get body fat percentage down? Doug Graham’s book states that it should be in the 24-28% range for women and I’d like to reach that level. I currently measure it with my scale that has that feature.

Do I need to lift weights in order for that to happen? I’m really not into weight lifting, I’m more into aerobic exercise. Is there something diet-wise that I can do to reduce body fat percentage. Do I have to eliminate fats altogether in order to see my numbers go down? No more avocados :(

I am mostly raw and I do still feel that I need to lose just a few more pounds, but I don't think that will change it much. :(

Any ideas?

I never had back-fat, but I had thigh fat. Raw meat helps raise growth hormone levels. Growth hormone helps build muscle and burn off fat. I lost six pounds the first month, but many inches. All apparent fat disappeared, muscles got bigger where I don't think they ever could, and I got taller. As a matter of fact it helped back muscle and tendon grow. The only other diets that ever took fat off me were Living Food about five years ago and also waterfasting has taken fat off me.

I'm looking for something that will speed up the fat burning process and I don't want to spend more hours working out. I thought maybe someone would have an idea as to foods that increase fat burning properties. Else, I may have to eliminate all fats from my diet and that would be very hard for me.

Eating primal made my body fat % go down very low (too low) and I was eating tons of raw fat. Raw high fat veganism makes my fat% go up to it's maximum, eating a low fat vegan raw diet keeps me lean. For me that means an avocado in something once a week or so, nuts or seeds a few times a week in limited amounts. Emphasis on greens, wheatgrass, juicy fruits and some sea veggies. I use quite a bit of hemp seeds several times a week in things ( I love blending the seeds with tangelos).

That's what I thought. I'm eating too many avocados. I have them in blended soups and sometimes as a snack. Maybe one a day. So, pretty much eliminate added fats from my diet to eliminate added fat to the body.

That will take some additional self discipline that I'll have to pull from somewhere :-)

Hemp seeds and tangelos... I'll have to try that. Hemp seeds: the first time my husband saw them in the fridge he thought I had purchased marijuana seeds. I had to have him taste one in order for him to be convinced I wasn't smoking something (though I think he still wonders :)
