I just went back to work today after being out since last week since I had the flu. One of the first responses was, "We know why you got so sick... because you're not eating enough meat."
I am fairly new to this area and to this office and its hard because they don't know and accept me yet like my friends in FL did. So, it's full of questions and concerns for the way that I eat...I am not even completely raw...I just eat more greens and fruits than everyone else.
In the near future, I plan on going 100% raw... I won't let their opinions deter me, but what do you say when people question your diet??
Clearly your co-workers are bothered a bit because you don't eat meat because then it means perhaps they shouldn't eat it any longer. So now they've cornered you and want you to know you're sick because you don't eat meat. Meanwhile they're eating meat and they're not sick at all.
Many of us have had to listen to naysayers when changing our lifestyles. Just continue tuning into your body and give it the food it wants. Eventually you won't get sick as often or at all.
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. There's no reason for you to feel as if you have to justify your diet to anyone. Do keep this in mind. There's a difference between that and informing someone that may be curious about the Raw Food lifestyle.
I don't usually say much...for me people that raise questions like that seem to already have their minds made up and they are not looking for information on my raw lifestyle they are looking for loopholes...when I first went raw I wanted everyone to know what I had learned...I realized really fast that most people are just not interested...I have found more people truely interested when I don't say much...then they seem fascinated...xox
