What's normal for you?

I used to menstruate at new moon, ovulate at full moon. I've almost always been light first day, heavy second day, absent third day and spot fourth. I normally don't get PMS, but when I'm toxic (like this past decade) I get a headache, pain in the back then cramp within a matter of hours at the beginning of day one. For at least the past year I think I've been about every twenty-eight, starting between Sunday afternoon and Tuesday morning. I just finished my menstruation from Sunday.

I'm hoping if I keep track of my own semi-publically like this it will help somehow. Add something about your own or whatever you want, related.

Much less awkward than a diaghram, I could never use those. I can use a Divacup. I like it. Marte started a thread solely for these now.

I ate some cooked vegan food and barely any green juice (that's besides my raw foods which I did each day too) for a couple of weeks before my period. I got swelling for the first time I can remember from PMS, also got a headache, but that I've gotten before. My flow came late Wednesday 18Jun afternoon, was gone midday Friday 20Jun. It was light, no texture, just like regular blood, probably less than a tablespoon altogether. Didn't fill a Divacup all the way (they're probably less than an ounce). It came early this month, must have been the cooked food. I'm glad it came early, the swelling wasn't good.

Again I didn't drink green juice most of the month, nor eat my fruit most days. I swelled. I got accupuncture (needles only) and all the fluid came out in one treatment. On Wednesday afternoon the 16 of July I got a tiny light pink spot when I wiped after peeing. Yesterday (Thursday) I got one mild cramp in the afternoon, again a tiny pink spot after peeing. No headache. I'm good. No Cup nor pantiliner this time. No food cravings.

28 days it is. Wednesday again. I got it. I don't really need to use anything again, I'll see later if I want to use the DivaCup. There is blood. It is dark colored. I did have a headache last week. Maybe that was a PMS symptom. I haven't had cramping, backache or anything. I had half an appetizer (cooked) at the best local Vegan gourmet restaurant on Monday. My face is swollen now due to it. Hopefully this cleanout (period) will take down the swelling fast. My face does not usually swell. Last time it did, I think I was 15, I don't remember. My skin has always been sensitive, especially my face. I don't wear make-up or lotion. Any ideas to get down the swelling? A mild herbal compress? Which herbs?

I'll just stick a face update here. I got it down like the next day. It was worse than the time when I was 15, but went down fast and well, so hopefully everything's ok now.`This time it was some kind of infection too rather than just outside irritant like 15, that was to a fragrance, I was 100% whole vegan foods then. Ok, enough of my OT here. See you soon (2 weeks?) back here in moon club.

Oh, the period was over by that Thursday night I think, no other symptoms to it.

Another Wednesday. my friend came two days ago, and she pretty much back out the door again for another month. I had a very slight mower back ache the as it started, nothing else PMS'y.

Every 26 days without fail. Lasts about 5 days, light first day, heavy second and then light again. However, last period came 2 days early and lasted 12 days!!! Only light spotting that was noticeable only when I went to toilet for last 4 of those 12 days. I'm 47 - do you think this could mean the start of menopause? I felt more emotional than usual, too.....

Until I read this I didn't realize my cycle lasted only 4 days. I kept thinking maybe it was going to come back or that I'd have little spotting. Nope no spotting. I did however, have cramping on the first and second day, but after that nothing. I also stopped taking birth control pills about a month ago and thought that might be the reason also.

I've never tracked ovulation, not even sure how that works.

Congrats on your menstruation getting shorter! :)
I just notice how my body feels and how it matches up (or doesn't when I'm living unhealthily) to the moon's cycles.
I just googled this link, I never used any charts, books or software though.

i was 100% raw for 4 months and also didn't drink any wine at the time. i stopped getting my period and it was fantastic. i felt fine, great even. i've read that this can actually be completely normal and healthy for women on a raw diet.
