How cool! Wish I was there! We'll be home in July for 2 weeks, we're having a good look around Nth Canty for some land to buy. I'm so pleased there is a movement going on in the region :)
Over here in Japan we have a raw vegan potluck group, it's been really successful. Its held upstairs of a raw restaurant. Last week they had a book swap which was a great idea, everyone brings a raw (or something of related interest) and swaps for a month. They've also had a Yoga instructor run a class and different people speak on different subjects related to raw food and health.
I found the Japan raw group on meetup.com In the past I checked out if there was a group in Chch. At the time there wasn't, but a lot of people had pledged to attend raw food meetups in chch if someone started organising them.

hey sarah and everyone else

just wanted to update this and let you know that we now have regular fortnightly events going on here in Chch .... there is a Google Group just set up, so if you want an invite, send me a message on here and i will send the link.

i haven't yet put all the dates up on there, but maybe will do that this afternoon.

AWESOME! I'd love an invite thanks! We had such a great trip home and we bought some land near Rangiora so all very exciting. Can't wait to meet new friends
