myself in the mirror and my skin and hair look drained and haggard. Any tips? thought I was eating well, but
Jess, I looked a little like a sack of skin when I was nursing. I mean my breasts got bigger, but I lost to 20 pounds under my prepregnancy weight by 10 weeks postpartum (and I was thin before). My skin, if I remember right, was clear if I nursed at least every 4 hours. My healing was faster also during that time (couldn't keep a piercing, etc). My hair looked better than usual, but not as thick as pregnant. I'm thinking. It was a long time ago. Have you looked at all the other factors in your life? Would you be up for making and drinking a lot of rejuvelac? Also, raw eggs can help make skin and hair good (strong strands natural looking sheen not oily). Maybe you need more hydration, he might be feeding so often because you might be dehydrated. I don't know how it would be with nursing, but unpasturised pastured butter takes care of hydration issues for me now. That fat should be good for developing nervous system. Do you thing you're losing collagen? (getting stretch marks etc) Raw tomatoes, cucumbers and avos are good normally for hydrating too. It's Winter too by you, I always got dry skin in the Winter. You r still down under, rt?
For the skin I recommend lot of fresh air outside / sun / be active (I spend so 4 - 5 hours daily outside running, chasing my toddler :-), also in the rain, I bought rain boot, coat and off we go!). Also flax seeds are good for the skin health - have some in your smoothies or whatsoever.
experimenting with 811. here was yesterday:
9am -water lemon MSM, Fred Bisci metabolic enzymes

10:30 -2 pints blueberries / 1 pint strawberries
12pm -16 oz green smoothie of half head romaine / 1/3 large papaya / stevia / cinnamon / Vitamineralgreen (I couldn't drink all that I made, sealed rest in airtight jar)
3pm - 16oz pressed green veg juice of parlsey, romaine, kale, spinach
3:30 - 2 kiwis with skin
(4:30-6:00 EXC - uphill run / hike Runyon Cyn)
7pm - hungry; mixed handful whole dulse with lemon, hing, & cumin, mashed that up with red leaf lettuce and rolled it all up in raw nori sheet (x2 rolls)
Want to cut waaay down of fat, my bod is so inefficient in processing that and protein. After a recent 64 day juice feast I packed on weight adding "normal" amounts of fat back in (avo, hemp, tahini, coconut, no nuts) Now eating late is keeping that fat on me. I don't know how to resolve it after leaving work at 4 to go hiking and coming home hungry after shower it's 7 pm and I need a snack. I have a hard time eating more during the day. Green smoothies make me full, but ware off after rigorous exc.
Thanks Harley. Yeah, its been a week, im still wobbling around. I know. Will refine it!
Do I have combo-abombos up there? It's not all mono yet, yeah.
Im not popping any pills though. The enzymes and MSM have almost totally healed a really painful broken toe that has been throbbing enough to make me cry every day for the last 5 years. It doenst hurt anymore, but still a little inflamed.
*msm, b-12, and water
*E-3Live
*green juice (wild greens this time of year!)
*superfood smoothie of love (berries, cacao, vit-c, algae & other superfoods and herbs)
*water
*E-3Live

*salad or savory green blended smoothie/soup or veggie wrap, always with some type of algae
*water
I try to be sure to drink a large quantity of water at specific points in my day, but I also drink in between.
doing 80/10/10. i find it hard to get the recommended level of greens, anyone have any tips?
today i had:
1/2 watermelon
1.5 lbs cherries
5 bananas
i know, i know, it is nowhere NEAR enough calories. but i'm just not hungry! i don't want to just stuff food in there, as i've had compulsive eating habits in the past and don't want to revisit them. i'm just taking it slow and adding a little bit more each day as my hunger (and stomach) grow
I remember having the same challenge.
The thing that really helped me was to make sure I got enough activity during the day. Getting my heart rate up for 1/2 - 1hr helped me eat more.
Even if you get a handful of greens to start out it's better than none. If you need to blend some in with your bananas you could do that too.
Keep up the good work. Increasing a little bit each day is great.
