Give it to me Raw - Raw Food Community

Well, the title says it all... I am just wondering what time you choose to quit eating for the day? Is it early afternoon? evening? whenever? And what are your experiences with this if you consciously choose a specific time that you stop eating?

Thanks for any input!

Hi Breanna,

it does seem like it would be a pain in more ways than one!

"your digestive system needs times to relax ... constipation issues."

How come so many people from many different diets can waterfast without getting a constipation issue from it? After doing Living Food Lifestyle(tm) for several months and looking and feeling great from it I waterfasted and got so bad I don't even want to say. Part of my fasting instructions was not to do enemas, which was fine with me as I hadn't done one in many years anyway. I see a lot of people agree with me that enemas would probably be a good idea when cleaning out and eating less or fasting. Then some fasting supervisors insist fasting never involves this problem. Could it be a few peoples bowels are just different than others? TCM supervisors have told me according to reading my ear cartilage shape that my intestine heritage is very rare. Might I do better with eating a raw egg in the middle of the night while you not? Raw eggs are supposed to take cancer cells out of the body. Raw eggs facilitate my bowels to move. Maybe I should start already. I've only done it once or twice, all the pd'ers are telling me I should do it regularly. Raw eggs are also in one of the pain relieving formulas. I've tried it and it is amazing at relieving my pain.

I do not consciously stop eating at a certain time during the day. I have heard that it is better for digestion if you stop eating by 8 or so, but I also have big time sugar cravings late at night. At least raw ice cream is better than SAD, right? :)

Hey Kendra... yes... I do believe it would be MUCH better than regular ice cream... and you know, I bet as time goes on, we will not be craving so much sweets.

I eat a salad or piece of fruit 1 to 3 hours before bed (around 9 or 11). If i'm hungry in the evening, i eat.

You know...I have heard that it's not too big of a problem if you eat semi late,...it's what you eat that makes a difference. If one was to eat a piece of pizza or something heavy before bed as opposed to a lite salad - I can see how that would make a big difference.
