Give it to me Raw - Raw Food Community

So I started developing small red dots forming at the corners of my eyes a couple months ago and it still hasn't gone away. I stopped using make up in February when I started eating mainly raw. I also stopped using as many chemicals as possible, whether on my skin, in my hair or in my mouth.

Some people suggested hydrocortisone, but of course, not so good for you... Any suggestions for natural remedies? It seems to get worse when I cry... I'm also taking probiotics, B12, and an essential fatty acid blend. I'm currently using alo vera and coconut oil on my face daily, which I have done since around December and had no problems with.

Would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions, or even just a few hugs...

Thank you!

Oh, I forgot to mention... I'm also taking MSM, but I would think that would be helping my skin not making it worse. Or maybe my body is still going through detoxification?

Well, any thoughts would help. =)

This is the end of June. So the rash started after you quit using make up near your eyes. maybe when you used it, it soaked in and accumulated. The rash now could be part of a detox. I've never gotten that, but I've not worn much makeup. I got rashes on my face as a small child. It happened after combining certain foods. Do you eat any cooked? Is it possible some of your foods are irradiated or had been frozen? Raw saturated animal fats sooth my skin and body.

I really think you're right about my skin detoxing from the make up I used to wear. As for cooked foods, I may have a bite or two of someone elses here and there and I do eat Coconut Bliss every now and then, but pretty much raw for the most part. Lots and lots of green! =)

Thanks for your thoughts!

I am extremely sensitiver to make ups.... to the point where if one of my daughters gets into a eye shadow... or play with an eyeliner... it will make my eyeballs break out.... I look like swollen really high eyeballs...lol... and they hurt/itch to boot!!

Anyways.. .just the other day... I got the redness, bad swelling, itchy..... and I stopped wearing any make up....for three days nothing...(not that I wear a lot anyways...) I also used Mivita on my eyes.... rubbed it in at least twice each day..... cleared all symptoms away within two days time....

Come to find out it was the brushes I used...(need to remember to clean those suckers regularly!!)

oh yea... Mivita can be found here: http://www.natureknows.com/

We use this stuff on our kids, our animals, and ourselves.... you can take it internally... but Ive never done that.. I always use it for outside stuff. ;0)

Good luck and hope you find some relief soon!!

Yikes! I've never heard of eye balls breaking out. That must be extremely uncomfortable... This Mivita sounds interesting. I'll look into that.

Thanks so much!

Just thought of something else... I do eat a lot of fruits and agave sweetened chocolate. Maybe my glycemic intake is too high and this is causing inflamation??? Hence the rashes... We'll see. I do eat a lot of greens to balance things though.

"agave sweetened chocolate"

Sea Goddess, the agave may not be totally raw, and chocolate has been known to inflame nerves. Could you give it up for a few days and see if there's a difference?
