I love smoothies! Here's what I had this a.m.---1 c. water, 1 packet stevia, 2 T. ground flaxseed, 1 scoop Jay Robb protein powder, frozen blueberries, lots of ice. Topped with flaked coconut and handful of raw almonds :-)
I know it's not breakfast time for me right now in Arizona, but I just had the best smoothie! I made it with 2 bananas, 1 mango, couple chunks pineapple, kiwi, raw almonds, camu, nut mylk, maca, raw protein powder, organic air dried coconut flakes, a squirt of raw agave nectar, and a couple of purified iced cubes...very yum-yum - and very filling! :)
I fill half my blender with leafy greens and the other half with fruit. I use hemp protein or hemp seeds (or both)- 4 Tbs total, 2 Tbs chia, 1 Tb bee pollen, 1/2 tsp. sea salt ,sometimes spirulina or soaked gojis , and finally, rejuvelac (fermented wheat berry water) as the base. This makes about 32oz. total.
I don't usually add any sweeteners like dates or agave. I never add nut butter anymore, because I end up feeling heavy and sluggish. I've tried adding maca, but it tastes too turnipy in combo with all the greens, so I mix my maca into nut milk instead. It's much better that way!
