Alcohol...health risks?

hello everyone. I was hoping you could give me a break down of the health risks of drinking alcohol and what negative affects it has on the human body. Thanks!

quote from "The great American Detox Diet" by Alex Jamieson:

"Your brain is 76 percent water, which explains why alcohol-induced hangovers cause headaches--alcohol is so dehydrating that it literally dries out your brain cells! And this, of course, makes your head hurt. If you're going to drink, be two-fisted and drink at least a full galss of water for every serving of alcohol you have. Better yet, make that two to one."

I've done that, gone out with everyone from work, they're all drinking, I took a full water first and in between every drink.

If you must drink, two raw whole eggs that night and two more in the morning helps prevent any damage to the liver. Drinking can damage lots of stuff including your nervous system, then you'll have pain for life. Of course we can get these problems from other things too, but why inflict harm on your body intentionally?

Alcohol destroys cells.

thanks! I'm a pretty strict vegan so I can't eat the raw eggs, but I mean I try not to drink too much anyways. I think I had maybe three beers last nite haha and I made sure to drink lots of water. thanks for the info :)

Another risk of drinking is dehydration of the cells. Alcohol can help rob the body of its important fats to little by little leave a person's body dry and wrinkled and lead to cancer and much suffering. A little beer probably won't hurt. Many beers have hidden animal ingredients or animal processes. Maybe eat avocado or coconut before you go out. It might not only curb drinking, but nourish your liver and prevent damage.

yeah I think even a smoothie with avocado in the morning, if for some reason you can't do it beforehand helps a hangover helps a lot!

It taxes the liver because the alcohol can be hard to process and metabolize.
