Give it to me Raw

Potlucks

Hello everyone

I was wondering how people felt about maybe having a raw potluck soon? I think now feels like the time seeing as we're starting to see things come about and there are quite a few of us about. I'm sure we could sort out a venue that suits everyone that's interested. It'd be nice to have it outside in the lovely sunshine!

Any thoughts?

Well, I would love to have a raw picnic, fancy that?

That sounds like a great idea. A 'potluckpicnic'. Perhaps we could arrange one for next month as the weather should be warmer. I'm sure there are plenty of places we could choose from. I will put the feelers out at the trip to Red Sugar and see if I can drum up some interest. :)

A raw picnic sounds like fun!

Well, I'd be up for it depending on the date and venue. Sometimes Dumfries feels like the end of the earth...in more ways than one ;-)

Excellent, so good to see people are up for it. Maybe we could organise a date in June? Any suggestions for possible locations? I'm happy to pick anyone up that needs it! :)

I'm going to be away for the second week in June but anytime after that suits me. There must be some nice picnic spots between Glasgow and Dumfries so we could meet halfway?

That's a good idea, my geography is pretty horrendous unfortunately. Moira can you think of anywhere that's sort of half way?

That's great Chris, once we have sorted a location we can set a date. I'm sure the weather will be beautiful - bit of positive thinking going on there :)

One of my friends has suggested Lanark Loch as being half way? It has a big loch (funnily enough) with swans and carpark and plenty of space...

that sounds lovely, although I don't mind the journey up to Glasgow...its not that far really, only about an hour and a bit...
anyway, my problem for June will be my busy social calendar (!!) - I'm booked up for every weekend except the 28th/29th. I didn't realise I had a life until I checked my diary, but there you go!

Thanks Moira, if you don't mind travelling up to Glasgow then I guess we could have it there and that way if Dave or Susan in Edinburgh wanted to head through it'd be about an hour travel for them too.

How are people fixed for 28/29th? I'm free that weekend.

Maybe we could have it in Kelvingrove Park?
