Give it to me Raw

Rebecca Lynn

Strange periods?

Hey ladies,
So, I've been 100% raw before and my period totally went away after I was raw for a few months. Well, I messed up and went back to eating a SAD diet and my period came back after awhile... so I am back and eating almost all raw - about 90% now and yesterday I got my period - very very light and normally the 1st day and the 2nd day is the worst. Well, all day there was nothing really - later in the evening I had some mild cramping and I thought, "oh no, here I go... gonna wake up and it's going to be bad." Well I woke up and virtually nothing again! I just didn't realize that my body would be doing this already and not 100% raw. Anyone w/ similar experiences? I am okay with it -i'd rather it be mild than how it normally is. I usually get cramps so bad and i am miserable. Well, thanks for reading - if you have stories to share, please do!

No, I figure it will come once I actually allow myself to eat well, wtf. All my organs are so constricted. As are my emotions, really. I need to allow RELEASE, you know? And still, here I am - not.

well, homeopathics and herbs can also help with emotionally stuck places too, also flower essences etc. Hope u get flowing again soon !

i was 100% raw for the first 2 months, now I am 80-90%. Wegotta do what we can handle, whilst genlty nudging ourselves in the most healthful direction. Maybe u r just experiencing all the resistances to being raw, all coming up at once and saying 'stay stuck, or deal with me (the resistances) so you can move on' ?

It's interesting that I have missed my period for three months, consecutively. Then I express this fact outwardly for the first time EVER, really, and the next day (being today) I get my period!!
Um so..thanks? Haha.

wow I just made a discussion on the general chat about this. its great that i found this. I don't know I just can't picture people thousands of years ago getting their period..ahaha. But truly, I don't know I'm on my second day raw and i just got my period during the beginning of the week. so this time doesn't count. I put my results for my next cycle. But different doctors from different countries say different things. People have to remember that American women are 40% heavier than European women and other countries. I think that effects us a lot. This period I just got on Monday was the worst one I've had in a long long time. And that was because I was eating the worst things you would imagine...pretzels, milk and cereal, cookies. My body was just going crazy, and I would eat anything and binge of whatever I saw. I get crazy before the week I get my period. I need to find a way to get away from that. it would be cool to know if it is truly unnatural for women to bleed...i hope so..it just doesn't feel right.

That does effect us a lot because fat = stored up toxins. I think that's why people may initially be so against fatness. We KNOW it's not supposed to be there, to the extent to which it can be/often is. It's because it SHOULDN'T be. A period is just the elimination of excess toxins isn't it? Fatter people generally tend to have more of that. People often just feel that it's wrong. That's a big part, I think, of why so many people have issues about it. And then it's turned into other things and other issues and approached and perceived in some really messed up ways because people can be just so lost....

I'm surprised my period isn't killing me yet, the way I've been eating AND the fact that I've missed it three months in a row despite my diet. But I am not complaining...

Periods. Smeriods. I hate them, I have been fruitarian 3 years and you know what I still get them every month.

After surgery the next day my period was black. The next surgery I had, next day, my period was black again. I think maybe the anesthesia or the shit they put in me like pills and stuff. Detox? What else could that be?

What surgery did you get?
