Gahhhh... Fruit
I've been a raw food slacker lately. A few weeks I noticed that I had gained 6 lbs. Here I am thinking I'd lose eating raw but I was gaining and I was feeling worse....
My body hates sugar. It hates sugar in all it's forms. I ended being really sick with cramps and feeling generally horrible and I just quit the raw thing altogether.
I've lost those 6 lbs again since I've given up the fruit almost entirely. my body feels better and is starting to get back on track. Really, I knew better than to think I could consume fruit like the average raw foodist. I tried to tell myself that it would be ok because raw is healthier... It really doesn't make a difference. Sugar is sugar is sugar.
The new grand plan is to do a Master Cleanse starting next weekend and then to hop back on the horse with significantly less fruit. I've been scouring the net and pulling off all the recipes that have little to no fruit. I think the next time around will be a good thing. I promise to listen to my body and to not convince myself of things that I know deep down are not true.
