This is the video interlude from the 2008 Sticky & Sweet Tour. It was made way before the Great Recession & the election of President Obama.
It's a raised middle finger to the Get Stupid-ization of America & the world by the keepers of the status quo.
I love its in yer face message of wake the fuck up. It's very punk rock, & the whole Tick Tock Tick Tock hanging over our heads is just brilliant.
(I just watched a great film with a similar message called Idiocracy, by Mike Judge, w/ Luke Wilson & Maya Rudolph. About how in the future, people will be so brain-washed by corporations that we'll all be living in a dirty polluted World Wrestling Federation country & watering our crops w/ Gatorade "cause it's got electrolytes...")
I like the idea of female prophets. I think cuz womyn give birth they're more attuned to what's going on Earth-wise & therefore must needs to should speak up more & kick some ass. (and stop worrying about being called the B-word, or being criticized for her age & her looks)

I think Madonna made $110 million last year, which goes to show that speaking up doesn't mean being unsuccessful financially, which I know is a big fear with a lot of people.
A good lesson for all these artists-entertainers out there who are putting out the same old homogenized sanitized play it safe shit thinking that it will get them somewhere, or score them the #1 spot on iTunes. (Best Ex. American Idol)

not 'star' as in ephemeral Miley Cyrus, Brangelina, Hollywood-types, etc. that the media wants us to focus on.
