Hi! I don't know if I can make it sunday. I have to work at 1:00 :( Your sea weed salad was so amazing! I'd love the recipe, even if I have to make it with non-Japanese sea weed.
Hi Leilacita,
I have lost your message about coming to Tokyo, but I think you said you were going to be passing through for a few days, and that you were looking for a place to crash. You are welcome to stay here, but I warn you that I live in a dorm and my room is a 6 mat room. If you don't mind squeezing in, you are welcome to stay a few nights. I even have an extra futon.
Hello, Leilacita!
I read your message to Raw Japan. I wish I could give you a couch but my place is too tiny. I'm sure you will be able to find some place to crush in, though. There is a hostel in Yoyogi, just in case.

I like persimmons and natto!
Have a fun trip to Nikko!
It must be rough being raw or even partly raw in Japan with all of the delicious food around you 24/7. Especially in Osaka. Maybe someone will come up with a raw recipe for Okonomiyaki. I know the stuff is horrible for you but it used to be one of my favorites when I lived in Japan. O-genki de ne
SO cool. . . any reason you chose a waning crescent?
i knew intuitively that i wanted it. . . and afterwards I found out that I was born under a waxing crescent- it felt pretty magical!

what's going on in japan this weekend??

Well, make sure you drop in to say hello when you get to Tokyo. I'm now living in Ogikubo and starting Mysore classes at the International Yoga Center in Ogikubo today. Actuallly, I moved here just for the yoga center, and there is also a really good organic fruit and veg store here, so I feel fairly content being here. What's the name of the yoga studio/vegan cafe/inn thing you were talking about? Oh, yes, I couldn't agree more about going to Okinawa. I've also been thinking about checking it out down there. Half of my baitos are on holiday now for the university break, so I have a lot more free time till the start of April to check my local area. So, how long are you staying in Japan for anyhow?
I would love to know more about your wwoofing trips, so please report back on your next vacation:-)
I just read through your profile, and I definitely share your vision of living on a self-sustaining farm! I'm applying for an apprenticeship at the Pangaian permaculture community in Hawaii (pangaia.cc) to get some experience, you should check out their site, its probably something for you!:-)
Let's be sure to stay in touch, so as to continue to network and inspire and build a far greater consciousness in Japan regarding all things organic and vital and alive..!
Looking forward to hearing about your WWOOF tour in April. Should be amazing and eye opening.
I really do feel that there is a beginning of a real movement here in Japan, not just with foreigners but with the native Japanese as well. I want to participate and contribute to that movement as much as I can.
Hi Leilacita,
How are you going? I'm eating out all the stores here of there mikans, ponkans, tankans and all other orangeee looking and tasting things in Japan. Are you getting your fill too? You mentioned a while ago that you were planning to go wwoofing. Are you going to do this in Japan? If so, were will you go?
happy (well a few hours late) valentine's day love!!
you're off on another adventure soon, hooray!
i'm not 100% sure if i'll be wwoofing in hawaii. . . i'm in the middle of sorting through options and places right now, all warm as it's so very cold and snowy here!!
but i can't imagine anything better right now either. . . i've emailed a few places and am sort of waiting to see what the best fit appears as. . . i will definitely keep you posted, i was a member of wwoof hawaii last year but didn't end up going, and this year i just joined wwoof usa, and they had lots of hawaiin farms, one specifically welcomes raw vegans and said you could just hang out in the kitchen, making yummy raw meals!!!
um, heaven??!!
i can't wait to hear more of your travel plans. . .
oh and have you learned to knit yet?

What the ginger? The ginger is mine unfortunately -_- But I have a tendency to try to get rid of it, and since I absolutely will not touch synthetic hair dyes, I'm stuck with doing it myself with plant dyes - Which is reaaally hard. I usually end ...

I think the color suits you, it looks right. Sometimes when people color their hair it's obvious that it's a dye job and it just looks off. Yours doesn't look off at all. Anyway, it's a lot better than my hair! ;)

Okay, mishap was a bit generous. I decided to dye it, so I bought some indigo (plant dye) and started sectioning off the front bits of my head and putting the dye in, and then as I tried to get further back and farther down, I ran out. So now the ...

Nah, I had a mishap with some indigo I bought to dye my hair darker. It's washing out though, no biggie. Probably why I shouldn't mess around with hair dye, no matter how natural it is.
