I sent your ebook today, and a response to your email. I was on vacation for a week and brought my Mac with me expecting Internet connection at the B&B. Unfortunately, there wasn't Internet access. Again, please accept my sincere apologies.
FYI - If circumstances permit, I may travel to Florida on July 25th. If so, we might travel to Orlando (not sure), I'll let you know. Maybe we can make plan to meet.
Nice to meet you Holly!
I just got home from the Successfully Raw event in New York City! It was Great!
I actually used to live over in Clearwater Beach, FL. Are you originally from FL?
Have a nice evening!
I am working on an e-book at the moment. I want it to be a mix of recipes and other ideas. It might be a while though. I've gotta lot on my plate right now.
Sorry to hear that (about the "war"), but I'm glad the soup soothed it.
I'll definitely check more of them out, although lately, I just create recipes on the fly. I need to start writing them down, since I have been asked to contribute them to the public.
I've never checked out that site before. The recipe is similar to mine, with additional flavors. My hubby likes it plain like Campbell's, so that is what I did. How was your soup?

Go for it. Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best. Like the soup. I usually just take my favorite cooked recipes and make substitutions (and take out the cooking part) to make them raw. I always encourage others to do the same. You can rawify just about anything.
Your blog has made me hungry for tomato soup (my fav) and salad! I'm going to soak some tomatoes and cashews right now! :o)

No problem. The other recipes should be in your GITMR inbox. Click on the icon in the left upperhand corner.

Hey #966 (I told you there were a lot of raw foodies here), I'm so glad you made it.
The gingerbread house is also on my blog. I used Karen Knowler's gingerbread recipe, which can be found on www.goneraw.com. Just do a search for gingerbread. I think it is labeled, "gingerbread treats." I pressed the dough out flat on a Silpat, cut it into my desired shapes, and dehydrated it overnight.
For the "glue," I used the Sunny Raw Kitchen blog's whipped cream icing (but any cashew-based icing should do). I just made it a little thicker and allowed it to chill overnight until firm. I piped it on with an icing bag (just like making a traditional gingerbread house), but made sure to take frequent breaks to let the icing cool back down (it warms in your hands) and my work to set.
As for decoration, I used goji berries, golden raisins, pumpkin seeds, cacao nibs and dried coconut flakes, but anything raw will do.
Now for the mallomars. I made the cookie, similar to how I made the gingerbread. I used 1 1/2 cups almond meal, 1/4 cup coconut flakes (ground into powder), dash of sea salt, 1/4 cup Grade B maple syrup and 1/4 cup dates (about 3 or 4 dates). This was processed into a dough, flattened into a sheet and cut into rounds, which were dehydrated until crisp (this should be in my blog post).
As for the vanilla cream and ganache, I'll send a message to you with the recipes :-)

That's Florida! However, it doesn't look like that now! :o)
