haha yeah I was there around 1. What a coincidence! : )
And I hope they will too, it would be soo convienient to have all the raw food snacks and goodies so close, instead of having to order them online or go into nyc (which I love to do anyways, but they wayy overcharge there).
haha, I went to whole foods yesterday before the snow, and they had a huge batch of coconuts and lots of organic avacados!!! yay. : )
but I am still going to write to them, for their selection of raw food goodies and such needs a bit of improvement, they did however just start carrying the brand 2 moms in the raw, which include raw crackers and raw granolas.
what?! woow, thats crazy. Yeah last week I went and they were all out of organic avacados... We should go and speak with the manager and request more raw goodies. : )

I know you. Thanks for adding me to your list of friends :-)
yeahh, i had that same habit when i first went raw, i love tofu soo much, esp the prepared sesame tofu at whole foods. and yess i do go to trader joes quite a bit, they dont have that great a selection for raw foodies, but they do have some great frozen fruit and as you mentioned: great prices on nuts.
and i have heard of the purple dragon co-op in westfield, and i totally want to join that starting in the spring. i just read an article about how many nutrients are lost by shipping produce over seas and long distances. so getting produce local would really help solve that.
yeah, no problem. and thats cool, i always wanted to start a blog, but never got around to it. yeah when i first went raw, i kinda went back and forth from eating half to fully raw. (christmas time and vegan treats in bethlehem, pa were exceptions) but now im like all raw, and its pretty amazing.
oooh, thank you for the health food store reccomendation. yeah the whole foods in union is lacking in the raw food department quite a bit, but i have my own dehydrator, so i make most of my goodies. and in nyc i have been to quintessence, caravan of dreams, and jubb's longevity. I love all three, they are specttacular. And i soo want to go to pure food and wine. I have heard nothing but great things about it. and i dont mind at all, i agree, finding a raw foodie close by is a rare commodity. and im soo sorry to hear that about your chrons, yeah i used to be on humera, eek, not fun at all.
and i go to the yoga and healing center in scotch plains. I love it there, and i was certified as a yoga instructer there. there website is yogaandhealingcenter.com
wow! I had no idea that there was another raw foodie so close either! and to make things even more coincidental, I have Chron's disease too. well i am in remission but i was diagnose when i was 12.
and i agree whole foods is like my savior. besides that i go to nyc for my raw food restaurant fix.
Ah, you're too kind. I'm still learning how to "uncook" so it's fun when something turns out! And I'm not 100% raw either...I still love beans! But I try to be as high or all raw as possible.
Hiya Lauren! Thanks for the invite. I didn't realize you were on here either. I'm going to add you to my blog roll if that's alright.
I just saw you loved A Thousand Splendid Suns. I haven't read it yet so I'll take it as a recommendation. I read the Kite Runner and LOVED that book (although, no desire to see the movie interestingly enough).
Good to see you on here and I know we'll be chatting again soon. :)
